I laughed at that, I'll admit it.

Seriously though, good for her. She made 150 million bucks for doing nothing simply because she's a girl. It's the female version of the American Dream.

She is probably getting the kids.

Well, he is still left with 200 million, which is more than he can spend.

It doesn't alleviate the fact that this whore is getting $150 million dollars for lying on her back and spreading her dumb legs.

Leave your mom out of this. ;)

If you take $150 million and put it in Etrade savings account at a guarenteed 5% you'd get $625,000 a MONTH in interest without even touching the $150 mil. Just so you know.

heh i never understand what makes people like that think they deserve such pay-outs.

she rode on his willy for a while, spent his money in the shops, drove nice cars.....i dont get it. unless she somehow played a part in him being a successful B-Ball player i dont see why she should get so much as a penny. though i suppose if they have kids, and she has no qualifications she's gonna be hard pressed to provide for them

ahh and its 350 million during their time together, so any cash he made before and after he gets to keep.

I don't see why everyone is going off on the wife. Jordan was the one that was cheating.
When rich husbands or wives cheat, i totally understand the term "dont get mad, get half".

If you seriously think that if somehow it was the rich wife and the stay at home husband in this case that he'd get half of her fortune, you clearly don't understand how family/divorce court works.

How's it working for Britney and KFed? He's getting a chunk of change from her. They may have had a prenup though... not sure.

K-Fed got 1 million, and it was settlement, not a court decision. The fact that K-Fed accepted the million bucks rather than go through the courts (Britney is worth 100 million) shows just how messed up the system is

Whore? She wasn't the one that was cheating. If my SO of 18 years of marriage cheated on me, i seriously wonder if murder wouldn't be my reaction.

Eh, I just read up on it. There *was* a prenup. So there you have why this turned out the way it did.

I think what people here are saying is "MJ was all 'the talent', he made all the money was almost solely responsible for his financial success... his wife rode his coat tails and enjoyed a great life; she doesn't deserve 150 million."

While I wouldn't put it in the language that some above have used I tend to agree with that sentiment.

She should get 20-30 million tops and that's mostly just to keep up her life style and for the kids (assuming she will take custody).

There was? Wow, I stand corrected, sir. Any idea what the terms of it are? I don't understand why they didn't just follow it if there was one and worked out the million dollar settlement instead.

I don't have a problem with this. To me, a marriage is a partnership. There is no "his" and "hers," just theirs. Makes sense she gets half. Don't like it, don't get married or get a prenup.

It should work both ways, and I admit I doubt it does.

It doesn't though, which is why this annoys people. If the girl was just as likely to get cleaned out in a divorce, nobody would care about this. It's one of the many awful double standards nobody talks about it that's making it harder and harder to be a white male in today's world.

This is bogus. Separation litigation is bogus. My spouse will have to sign a prenup that says, you can have what you you brought in and what you made during the time. Anything we bought together is split, assuming you contributed at least half of the income to the family otherwise it will be fractionally considered. If you don't work, tough luck, you'll get child support payments, which in cases like these are atrociously high.

WTF?

OK.. he earned $350 million but I'm sure a few million went towards purchasing things for her such as food, housing, entertainment, clothing, jewelry, cars, etc.

And why should she be entitled to a single cent after the divorce since he supported her the entire time?

Funny, that many of the posters in this thread have a problem with how much Mrs. Jordan got paid for her "work" but none have a problem with Mr. Jordans pay for his "work".

Greatest Basketball Player of All Time. He's worth every penny.

When Jordan left for the second time, all of the thugs started coming into the league. He was the glue that held it all together.
