Michael Flynn to invoke Fifth Amendment in collusion investigation

Here's another shocker

It's too easy for my like. He's been on both sides of literally every issue forcefully and it means nothing to the faithful. They only have to listen to whichever one fits their ideals.

It works brilliantly to garner support from those who have no qualms whatsoever with being lied to, ie Republicans. They just pick the side of him they wish to believe.

I wonder how globally he will take the fifth. If he answers some questions and not others, it gives us a lot more information to speculate from.

I'd bet on Congress getting nothing from him. If he spills it will be to the FBI/DOJ with a deal of immunity in hand assuming he can implicate people higher than himself.

If Flynn could actually sell out Trump he'd probably already have a deal with the FBI & DoJ.

They left him twisting in the wind with a noose around his neck, his toes barely touching the ground, wolves all around.

Sux to be you, Mike! Too bad it didn't work out! Buh-bye now!

Flynn is just trying to avoid actually taking the Fifth in front of a Senate committee, having his lawyers do it for him. We'll see if that's good enough or if the good Senators need the political theater.

He might be taking it right to jail. I've been looking around and it seems that Flynn's business documents aren't viewed under the law as testimony would be. If the articles I've read are right then he could be in trouble. That of course would mean Congress acting on contempt and that is in no way guaranteed.

“The context in which the Committee has called for General Flynn’s testimonial production of documents makes it clear that he has more than a reasonable apprehension that any testimony he provides could be used against him,” Flynn’s attorneys wrote in a letter they sent to the committee’s chairman, Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), and Sen. Mark R. Warner (D-Va.), its top Democrat, on Monday.

The committee issued a subpoena to Flynn for documents this month after he failed to produce records of contacts he had with Russian officials that the committee requested he provide voluntarily.

Flynn is the only witness for whom the committee has issued a subpoena.

His lawyers sent a letter for him. I think Flynn will be the first one to be arrested by the FBI.
