Square went with Sony because of Nintendo's stupid cartridge format. FF7 filled 3 CDs...
just imagine how expensive a multi-cartridge game would be for the N64. It should also
be noted that no other company produced a quality traditional RPG for the N64, simply
because it was a poor format to produce such a game on.

FF jumped from Nintendo to Sony, but so did Breath of Fire (Capcom), Dragon Warrior (Enix),
and Star Ocean (Tri-ace/Enix) among others.

Anyway, MGS2 was a big disappointment for many people, and Splinter Cell looks like it will
be a much better game. Furthermore, unlike what someone stated, MGS2 isn't even a year
old yet, so it's hardly like Ubi Soft Montreal has had some incredibly unfair advantage.

Let the PS2 win their so called "war". I've got both and I damn sure know i try to buy every game for the Xbox instead of PS2 when possible. Do i really care that PS2 has 200 games? You do realize that of the 200 games that PS2 has, probably only 20 are actually "good" games and not just 6 month thrown together projects that suck. XBox on the other hand has approximately 75, and probably 12-15 "good" games. The ratio of better games is much better on the XBox. That and the fact that it's an overall better unit (omg its so beautiful hooked to my HDTV :D ).

PS2 fanboys can only get mad because MS is stealing some of their "thunder". Bah.

The only time i've played my PS2 lately was when i rented GTA: VC. The problem with Vice City is the graphis. Rockstart just makes horrible graphics. Whats the deal with all the streaking blurs and stuff?? The game looks horrible. Great fun game, but damn the graphics are sevearly lacking. When you drive at night you have like a 4 foot blur reflection of the tail lights on each side of the car. Yuck. So you can keep your VC.

I played a bunch of VC on my friends PS2 the other day...the other thing I noticed was the piss poor frame rate. It seemed to drop into the low 20s at many, many points in the game. Horrible. The motion blur is ugly too, I agree. It removes detail. Bring it onto the Xbox in 720p! I know it could handle it...

Appearantly all the resources went into simulating people on the streets interacting with one another. Imagine what it would be like if it was designed for xbox. The same fun stuffs, realistic graphics......brings GTA to another level. :)

Its a blast to play, but there is no reason for the blur. I'm positive its put there on purpose to show fast movement. It's horribly annoying and really kills what could be a top 10 game. I mean the game will still probably be with most kids, but for me it's just ugly. Gameplay and story is fun though.

Also i'm sure it's Rockstars inability to create decent graphics. Noticed the guys have no true fingers? They are just solid blocks of hand color with 4 black lines. Graphics are not a high priority or skill-set for Rockstar. I mean i could be wrong...but.

If the motion trails in Vice City bother you that much, turn them off. You lose the neon-ness of some of the nightlife, but some people would rather have it that way.

But somehow I don't think even that will appease you

Metal Gear Solid 3 is gonna be only on the xbox consol for a certian period of time, it will be on other game consols but only on xbox first. microsoft trying to make the xbox real successful it should be on PS2 first.

PS2 is old news, it's not even that fast anymore, who cares.
