In light of the economy, and the drug war, I think it is time to put the national guard on the border en mass.

Where do you think the weapons the cartels use (including 50 caliber machine guns) come from? USA-we sell them to the weapons they are killing our citizens with. Good job, NRA.

lol the NRA sells 50 caliber machine guns to mexican drug dealers? if you make all guns illegal, mexican drug dealers will no longer have 50 caliber machine guns?

The problem is that the 38 billion US citizens spend on illegal drugs stretches much further in Mexico. If we want to know who funds the drug traffickers in Mexico, US citizens need only reach for the nearest mirror.
And now as the battle progresses, they have all but won in Mexico, and are now coming into the USA. Armed to the teeth, thanks to loopholes in US gun laws.

There is no way to legally buy or get a license to buy grenades, rockets, missiles, etc. here in the USA
There is an agenda here, IMO

I was just down at the NRA Store and they were out of 50 cal machine guns.I guess they sold their last ones to some Mexicans, but I got a raincheck. They had some Photon Torpedoes but that seems like overkill, so I'll just wait until they get restocked.

That's not true at all. However, if you plan on using those weapons unlawfully there are much cheaper and easier ways to obtain them, rather than going through the official, red-tape covered path.

Actually, I would argue that this war is caused by the people who don't do drugs. The people who don't do drugs are the people who make it illegal (by electing officials to represent them) and thus unregulated. If the people who don't do drugs voted to allow private industry to take over, this 'war' would go away.

I'm glad we are protecting the US from attacks by having 100K+ soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. I would be really scared that foreign people would cross our borders and attack US citizens if it wasn't for all the troops and hardware we have overseas preventing this
U.S. Military troops are not allowed to be deployed in the United States. I know its tough for you to understand this and not just spew a talking point but its true. Now if you want to argue our National Guard troops should not be in Iraq/Afghanistan thats another argument which you did not make, and its not 100k of them. So perhaps rewrite your thoughts to make some sense?
