Metered network connection.

I am renting a room in a house and I want to share my high-speed internet connection with the owners to save money. I want to split the bandwidth equally so that no one person hogs the connection. Are there any wireless home networking routers that offer this type of metered network connection feature? I own a Belkin and a Netgear 802.11g router, but they do not offer this feature. Is there some way to implement what I want on them? I know you can assign time slots to turn a connection on and off automatically so that only one person can access the internet at a time. However, what I am looking for is full time bandwidth splitting.

I'm guessing some sort of linux like FreeBSD box could do this for you but honestly with just a few computers you shouldn't have to worry about this kind of thing.

Entry Level Hardware units do not offer this capacity.

In addition, if you do such a restriction you end up that even if the other person does not use his connection you download will be half of the possible bandwidth.

Normal Nice and logic Human cooperation will be better and cheaper.
