i like the stuff afterwards, it's a bit more mellow, i'm not into the whole metal scene, they calmed it down to rock on that one.....so i liked it better
I bought Master Of Puppets when released in 1986 and had been listening to Ride The Lightening for well over a year. A friend and I were introduced to Metallica by an older (4 years) acquaintance who had been listening to Metallica on vinyl since Kill 'em All. Vinyl! :QI also saw them live before Cliff Burton died. Had no idea at the time they'd be so big...at the time they were just "underground" metal.

I love all of it. The pre-Black albums were faster and harded, but the later stuff seemed to convey more emotion and feeling.
