fyi, ive got a version Im working on thats 12+ minutes long. I'd have to say the song that you heard is prolly the best of the best of what I laid down, but the 12+ min song has a ton of other goodies, including alot of work with the Digitech whammy pitchshifting pedal. That thing isn't used on the short version.

btw, im uploading via my slow dialup a hifi mp3 of the song. The one you have is 128Kbps, this one will be 192Kbps and is eq'd slightly more accurately to bring out more details......

it should be up by morning....
 
1. The song is really nice - good job.
2. The girl is really pretty. But 17? 17????? Dude, you're 25 and a 17yo is your dreamgirl...and you wonder why she's a little creeped out?
 
I have lots of friends who are married and the guy is ten years old than his lady. The difference isn't the problem, it's the age. She needs to grow up a bit more. Let her clear 22.

I like the new 192Kbs version. The differences are subtle but I really like how the details pop out a bit more. You were right though, it did lose a little bit of the warmth that your first version had.

well, i know... about the girl.... I usually date girls older than me, and I have bad luck with the younger ones. I dont know if its cause the older one's appreciate me more or what..... regardless, I came across her profile looking for people that went to my old high school cause I wanted them to hear some stuff I did for a local mc..... We started chatting, I read about her, and man, I just totally fell in love...... I just recently dated an 18 year old, and it went really well.....

but yea, she's really perty and i just love the little things this girl says and does.... And Actually, it was some things that she said weirded me out at first, but then I realized we have alot in common on a level I wasn't even aware of. little things ya know? like, we were talking, then I didn't talk to her for a day, then she's all, your weird, I never want to talk to you again.... So I freak out. She then changed her user name from her real name, to "I'm not in love" which inspired, "She loves me not" once she heard it though, her name changed to "Surf naked" and her profile title changed from whatever it was to "can we runaway together...forever"..... lol, surf naked is always a better name for the track than she loves me not......... I dont know, Im weird like that....

regardless, maybe i just met her so Id make this song..... in the dreamtheater forums, somebody told me if it will make me write stuff like this, I should get my heart broke everyweek.... lol

well, a girl like her will probably be taken or married at 22. Im glad I met her now, cause if she can get around my weirdness, Id be willing to wait it out for this one..... I really find her more attractive than anybody i've ever met and my brain likes her toooo

oh yeah, and the things is, she knew who I was before I chatted with her. I've been in my local newspaper a bunch for business successes (500K circulation) so my old high school did a big article on me that made me look like some kind of phenom.... lol, but she was one of the writers for the school paper when it was written....
 
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying drop the idea of getting together with her, just keep it light and don't expect her to be 25. You're talking to a guy who had the same girl break up with him 4 times over 7 years of dating! But now we're happily married 7 years now and have 4 kids. Persistance with the right style can pay off. 😀
 
man i dont know what the deal is. I dont think its because its being downloaded by others or there are too many streams open....... some people can get it some cant.....
 
Dreamgirl is track 1 off Dave Matthews Band's new CD. By reading her MySpace and Xanga, it would appear she's a huge DM(B) fan.
 
yea, so telling her she was my dream girl had extra weight to it since thats like her favorite song along with American Baby. hmmm, yea, I told her "You are my dream girl baby" Then I gave her She Loves Me Not......
 
Good god, no offense or anything, but at 17 girls are looking for fun, not a commitment. They have high school and college still left and want to date around and have fun, not be suckered into a needy relationship.

yea i realize that... but then again, if I let her go have fun in college she'll meet someone else.... i dont necessarily want her to commit to me, i just want to get her to love me so I can love her back...
