Met my dreamgirl

Well, I met my dreamgirl. Unfortunately, she loves me not.

If you like Santana, 311, Joe Satriani, or Jason Mraz, you will like what she inspired to make. I made a song about my experience.

She Loves Me Not

its short and you can stream via the link, just click and you'll find your way.

edit: we are talking again, and she is acting like nothing happened and I'm her bud. which is what I wanted.... after all the shlt I told her, for her to accept it and still be willing to talk to me is good enough for me. I have other things to worry about....

thanks..... well, my friend Tim, the guy that made the art on the metopia main page, made the basic beat, and I loaded it up and jammed to it. I took about 10 takes with different effects and tones, and cut everything up until I had the best of the best.

Lets see, there is a pic on the metopia page where you can see the pedals and amp and stuff

Carvin Guitar
Line 6 Spyder
Boss V-wah (morley wah emu)
Audigy 2
Magix Audio Studio for basic mixing
Wavelab for compression and final mix down

Look on the bright side. You can always stalk... errr... romance her still!

so, is the mix ok? like is the eq decent? I have good monitors and sometimes my mixes sound great in the monitors, but when they get played on the average stereo, they are too treblely or too bassy.

opinions?

im sick of wasting my time on girls that think im a waste of their time.

hmmm, thats weird..... for this mix, I actually turned up the mids (1500-3000hz) about 2db, and the highs (7500-10K) about 1.5db hmmmmmm any one else think the bass it too heavy??

It could just be my stereo. It's not the best. I'd have to listen to it on the good system to know for sure.

Nice little tune. Sounds fine on my headphones.

Only thing I noticed is that the little "ratchet" sound in the R channel seemed too random - as if it was moving off the beat.

you might try, instead of raising eq levels, try to lower the stuff you want less of. IE bring bass and treble down to let mids shine.

I added a new version of the song. I messed with the eq a bit. It isn't so edgy. It has a much warmer sound.

I listened to the new one. I liked it. Make a CD with similar stuff and I might buy it.
