I'm not the neatest eater, but on a scale of 1 (people that don't wash their hands after the bathroom) to 10 (legit OCD) I'm probably a 7. I always take care to eat with my mouth closed and cover it if I need to say something with food in my mouth (usually only around family; with non-family I'll swallow first). That said, I eat a lot of bread and don't mind getting some crumbs around, although I clean up fairly consistently. Starting when I was about 4 years old, other people's eating habits would disgust me so much that I erected a cereal box wall all around my corner of the table so that I wouldn't have to watch other people eat. I also used to beat my brothers for making humming noises while eating. Come to think of it, I also wouldn't eat oatmeal my mom had made if there was any on the edges of the bowl, there had to be symmetry to certain things (like raisins on banana slices), I wouldn't eat out of white bowls because imperfections were more visible, and other autistic crap too. So I probably started at about a 9.5. Around when I hit puberty I kind of calmed down with that.
