oh no my grammar is bad. I guess we should all thank those public school union teachers for the great education they provided.

At least my bad grammar is my own. Streep repeats lines a team of writers carefully curated for her.

Wait a minute...I thought you were all about personal responsibility. So, shouldn't you be blaming yourself for your horrible grammar (lack of wanting to learn or inability to comprehend what was taught) instead of trying to foist your shortcomings off on someone else?

Just decided to see the speech. It was really fucking tame. And she was right. Everyone with a decent head on their shoulders knows Trump was making fun of a disabled dude. It's not rocket science people.

Trump has the thinnest skin of all, and his acolytes are not much better.

Trump did not make fun of a disabled person. It has been debunked over and over. The media is responsible...err irresponsible, creating this bullshit with pictures put together and sound bytes. Pull your fucking MSM following sheeple head out of the sand. If you want to find out the truth you will find it. This has been a big lie!

lol, I just went on /pol/ and there's counter-trolls right now spreading infographics about "debunked" actions of Trump's, intended to trick his supporters into making even bigger asses of themselves, the disabled reporter thing being the leading one. Please don't tell me you fell for that.

What is known as opposed to simply being "believed" is that the man never admits or acknowledges he ever did anything wrong. Nobody "manufactured" the video of Trump with his expressions and gestures, and there was nothing to be "taken out of context." To conclude that he mocked a disabled person isn't even a political conclusion.

The other thing that should be "known" and not simply "believed:" YOUR [p]resident-defect-elect of MY country is a disgusting PIG. He was a disgusting PIG on the Apprentice; a disgusting PIG with the birther frenzy; a disgusting PIG all during the campaign. The inauguration only applies lipstick. And that's not a "political" statement either.

It is not "known" for sure, but it is possible or even probable that the man betrayed his country to a foreign power before being elected.

I'd be happy to see us bring back public-hanging for certain offenses. Before it was considered "cruel and unusual," it was a good lesson and reminder to the public.

For anything else that could happen, I'm putting away a party-hat, a kazoo and a noise-maker to celebrate. And what I might pray for to my God is my own damn business.

Completely comical how much the conservatives are trying to detest celebrity when that's about the only real skill their president has.

What they detest is any factual real world criticism that Trump brought upon himself through his tweets, his cabinet picks, all of the lies he's been caught in and called on and all of those other foul things that came/comes out of his mouth.

Honestly, I really don't blame them for feeling that way. It's just human nature to defend your own. But what's so unique about Trump's situation is that he keeps sticking his foot in his mouth (both feet on occasion) on a regular basis and it's becoming progressively more difficult for his supporters to defend his words and actions.

All anyone has to do to criticize Trump is to simply point out how he is his own worst enemy in so many bizarre and consistent ways.

By comparison, conservatives had to be very creative and imaginative when they went after Obama, e.g. - birtherism, Muslim, Kenyan commie ad nauseum, whereas Trump just makes it so easy for anyone who isn't a supporter of his to point and laugh at him with ease. And it's not like he needs to be attacked with the bigotry and contrived hatred that Obama had to deal with for eight years.

Trump just being himself is all it takes.

edit - What I personally despise most about Trump is that he is not willing to make the personal sacrifices that practically every other president before him made, whether merely for appearances sake or in reality: He is refusing to divest himself of his business holdings to avoid any appearance or actual conflict of interest. In this way he is putting himself first and above the concerns of the people he is supposed to be serving.

He is not willing to give up what needs to be given up so that he can fully concentrate on the multitude of concerns and dangers that his new job is rife with.

He wants his cake and he wants to stuff his face with it, and to hell with what America thinks about that.

How has it been "debunked", exactly? Did someone invent a device that can pull the truth out of Trump's memories?

I decided to google for attempted debunks. The first claims that because the disabled reporter isn't subject to involuntary ('spastic') movements, this somehow vindicates Trump, however mockery of attributes such as disability are often based on ignorance, which is something that Trump has in spades. The second attempt to debunk it shows another video of Trump mocking a non-disabled general and doing completely different movements with his arms, that are a lot more like Trump's typical T-Rex-style gestures. Another attempt showed Trump mocking Ted Cruz on the topic of waterboarding, which was a bit more like the incident with the reporter.

When one is not absolutely certain of the intentions of someone doing something questionable, a sensible person considers what they know of that person and makes a judgement about the probability of that person's intentions based on their past actions. Trump has shown time and time again that he's not above making very dodgy comments regarding the family of a veteran, prisoners of war, calling Mexicans rapists, bragging about sexually assaulting women, saying someone is acting a certain way because they're on their period (isn't there a dedicated website that details all of the people that Trump has publicly insulted? I have the feeling that I've detailed the tip of the iceberg here in terms of quantity), and furthermore, he even said, "Poor guy. You ought to see this guy" before doing what many interpret to be an ignorant buffoon's imitation of a handicapped person (then he later denied that he was even aware of the person's disability!).

Pretty much anyone (without all of Trump's history of being a complete jerk) pulling a stunt like that in the public eye would get a serious case of side-eye from most people, regardless of whether that person is intentionally being a complete jerk regarding handicapped people or they're simply displaying their stunning level of ignorance of how civilised people behave. Even children of most civilised parents would be told off for doing something like that.

No, arrogance is different, but related.

Not in the context of your post. An elite military unit is such as measured by its performance in combat and attributed to its training. The same can be said for potential job hired or any of your other examples.

Eliticism in the context of public service is one partisan camp believing they are intellectually superior and talking down to the other, not from a perspective of enlightment, but a perspective of arrogance.

People want politicians to speak to them, not down to them.

I saw those videos, and my comments were regarding them (and others). I guess you have no response to that, nor did you respond to my opening question.

If you want to rely on the dishonest MSM for all your news, I can't help you with that. I'm more than capable of thought outside of agenda driven media feeds. Not so much with you, I see.

I am going to enjoy the inaugural ceremony of our new president in 10 days.

I just greeted family, who drove home through a huge rainstorm. I'm sorry, if you weren't my priority. I may respond, once I've read what you wrote, but that isn't gonna be now.

But responding with "LIES! ALL LIES!" was evidently a priority.

And proving the "lies" by linking YouTube videos and Trump superpacs..

Waiting for the claim he never said "Mexicans are rapists," "Machado was fat" and he likes to "grab women by the pussy."

Trump is a pathological liar and lacks any moral center.

You need to check his twitter feed more regularly, he's already been after her.

Also I did enjoy Gibson and Vaughn not enjoying her speech lol:

I can almost hear what the are thinking...

" Damn what a stupid ass speech. And What the fuck does that have to do with acting? "
