Not being argumentative but just how in the hell do you think we would accomplish that? The people that make the rules are the ones that can change the rules. There might be a few newcomers after every election willing, but they don't have the numbers. The longer they walk the halls of Congress, the less chance there is of any changes being made.

The longer an individual in Congress holds their seat the more masters they need to answer to. Anybody that thinks Harry Reid had an accident while exercising is very naive. These people are very unwilling to relinquish their power for a variety of reasons.

A Convention of States is the only way to take back control of our government. But as every month goes by, despite more and more states coming on board, the stronger the federal government gets.

I completely agree. We have build a system where the two options for fixing it are by force (not going to happen) or by the system itself (also, not going to happen). What idiot would put forth legislation that would hurt them?

Perfect timing by the administration. You've got to hand it to them. Menendez certainly won't be badmouthing the Iran deal that gave Iran everything they wanted now.

Meanwhile, Iranian hardliners are probably claiming that Rouhani is giving away the farm to the Great Satan.

If one accepts the idea that all they wanted was to refine their own nuclear fuel & build reactors, then they did get what they wanted. If one believes that they were going for the Big One then the opposite is true.

Can't have it both ways. Well, other than in Right Think, where whatever the opposition wants is automatically opposed.

Yes but they also are building nuclear infrastructure and expertise for breakout if the strategic situation requires nuclear weapons for deterrence or defense of Iran.

They've also agreed to greatly extend the time frame for such breakout by limiting the number of operational centrifuges, reducing stocks of enriched uranium & re-designing their Arak reactor.

It's an obvious expression of sincerity.

No I agree and the purpose is for the possibility of Iranian breakout and the de facto strategic influences from that instead of actually producing any nuclear weapons. Well the threats from the possibility of breakout are sufficient that it is worth just as much as producing nuclear weapons to the Iranians is one way of thinking about all this shit.
