Most men won't go as far as treating real women as objects, but when we see sexy photos of them, we tend to just think of all the things we could do to that woman. We aren't going to think of... oh I wonder how good of a talker she is... is she intelligent? Can she be a good mom? Will she be a strong and self-supporting woman or need me to do everything for her? And etc etc etc.
That's what we do during dating. Not when looking at sexy pictures. It's purely fantasy of all the ways we can use that sexy body to our liking.
 
How about the related study showing how women react to scantily clad men? Oh wait, we already had a thread about that wherein someone discovered that even monkeys copulating turned women on.

Wait a moment. This study only really shows that when men are shown a THING like a photo, the part of their brain that processes objects is active, and not the part that processes PEOPLE.
So we are now one step closer to proving that Picture != Person

Women rarely maintain their subjectivity in sexy photography geared for men. Instead, they become passive objects of men's sexual desire.

Men, on the other hand, almost always maintain subjectivity, even when scantily clad for women's/gay magazines.
 
The relationship my brain makes when it comes to tools and women is that "Satisfaction" video with the chics and the power tools. What a glorious video.
