I have a goatee that I maintain with a trimmer, but I shave the outlines my goatee in the shower without a mirror because I've gotten good at feeling my beard with my left hand. I soften my beard first by wiping excess shampoo over my face at the beginning of the shower, then shaving after washing off my body wash. Since I'm basically just shaving my cheeks, this doesn't take long.
