I also read a couple articles over the last few months that basically indicated the prices were stagnant. There isn't a whole lot of demand for the new DDR433 and higher chips, since JEDEC hasn't ratified anything past DDR400 officially, and AMD motherboards can't run their FSBs that high. DDR demand has been pretty much flat, and the supply seems stable.
The only thing that's been fluctuating a lot lately (that I can tell) are chips made from the discontinued Winbond BH-5 DDR (such as Mushkin Level 2 Black), which is the best-performing DDR400/433 RAM available right now. However, it seems Winbond may be starting production back up for these chips, as the new OCZ Platinum 3500 is using them (see today's review).
