Cracks me up. He's a classic.
 
Reminds me of the Malcolm in the Middle episode (pilot maybe?) where Malcolm first goes to the gifted class.

One of the kids turns around and says, "Pi! First one to 50 places! Go! 3.14159265..."

And Malcolm responds, "Turn around or I will punch you in the face."
 
my brother knows it 75 places out. He conicidentally had a really boring pre-calc class where the teacher had pi all across her room, so he sat there and memorized it everyday. Whenever we didn't believe him, we just ask him to write it down, he was right. But it really does sound like he is just making up numbers when he says it, it is really funny because he would just go off with it.
 
Yeah I am up to about 85 digits now. I usually do it in groups of 3-6 numbers, no songs or stories or anything. Just raw memorizing.

And for all of you who think that all I do is sit around and kill kittens all day, I am simply doing this assignment because I have always been extremely talented at memorizing things, and this seemed like a good challenge for me.

50 decimal places is enough to calculate the circumference of the entire visible universe to a precicion too small to be seen by the most powerful microscope. Think about it.

There are some amazing people that can memorize huge amounts of useless information, yet can't tie their shoes or get l*id.

3.14159 is all I remember, but now learn something useful like all the fractions,

anyway, my pre-cal teacher went to georgia tech and this was their basketball cheer...

such a nerd...but he was cool
