Melania Trump Plagiarized Her Convention Speech From Michelle Obama

More than a few but that's subject to interpretation as to what a few are.
I agree potential first wife's speech isn't that important to me, what will be important is how Trump accepts the criticism because its a fact he doesn't accept feedback or admit being wrong.

**more news Paul Manafort stated Melania added the words herself essentially without anyone knowing. Trump did his usual and flew back to NY and his plane arrived late (I've heard Trump likes to sleep in his own bed whenever possible) he's been asleep for most of the news cycle.
I predict today will be an interesting day.
I'm sure it's been retracted by now, but why would anyone in their right mind take a speech that was written for them, and insert 2 plagiarized paragraphs in the middle? That person would have to be really stupid, else doing that intentionally.

I certainly wouldn't be blowing it off as "just words".

I'm not even "outraged". I actually think its hilarious because this election cycle is such a shit-show. There's also the fact that a lot of people who support Trump have commented negatively about Michelle....but here is their queen....reciting Michelle's words while they cheer her on. Pure comedy.
That's probably the best part - in only a small way, it shows the mindset of so many of the Republicans. Automatically criticize anything your opponent says, and applaud when someone on your own side says it.

Remember, calling someone "unethical POS" does not make someone "unethical". I mean, how ethical is it to scam people using seminars like "Trump University", right?

Just like having small hands does not mean having small you know what, or actually....

Just like Trump champagne, Trump steak, Trump scarves and Trump university.. copy it coz it's cheaper and scam the people.
The concept of branding seems to elude you.

And yes people have been killed because of Trump's rhetoric. You should probably realize it, you don't have to love Liberals but Trump and his followers are responsible for violence.
Do you know anything about what happened in Libya and Hillary's role in this debacle which has caused massive death and human suffering?

LOL Obama also plagiarized his birth certificate. Remember that?

Funny how desperately Artdeco wants to paint Obama as a plagiarizer with one similar sentence, but dismisses Melania's paragraphs.

These Q 4 Year election cycle Altrolls are as boring as they are transparent and predictable... In November, their accounts go back into hibernation...

Hey thanks for proving me right.

Regarding Trump, you don't consider A "Presidential Candidate" a politician? 😀
Okay, let's assume Trump has "never" been a politician, but he has lied with a stone face for decades even without being a politician. What kind of lying monster is he going to become if he is actually elected? 😀
umm, vastly more honest than Transparent Hillary.

Yes, terrorists attacked, USA @ucked up. Americans died. People felt bad. Politicians tried to clean it up. People felt bad. Politicians tried to politicize it. Hearings happened. Investigations happened. People want to move on from it. People felt bad. Politicians wastes more tax payer money investigating this. People felt really bad.

Politifact seems to strongly disagree with you there. Clinton is rated as one of the most honest active major politicians while Trump is rated as the most dishonest by far. In fact, he has close to twice as many statements rated as 'pants on fire', meaning an outrageous, baldfaced lie, as he does true and mostly true statements combined.

While the standards of honesty for politicians are not high, he appears to have utterly failed.

Does it bother you that if Trump were to be elected he would likely be the least truthful president or presidential candidate in history? Since you seem to care about Clinton's honesty I can only assume this would bother you a great deal.

He's trying to blame Clinton for Libya's condition after the Libyan civil war and ensuing western intervention against Qaddafi. It is a pretty ridiculous case on its own, but different than the Benghazi crazies.

Just words,

just like obama ripped off?

Just another news story that proves the point, the msm is the lmsm.

Wait, seriously? The US intervention in Libya advocated by Clinton and executed by Obama isn't the responsibility of Clinton or Obama? Whose fault was it then? Inquiring minds need to know.

The intervention in Libya was primarily conducted by the UK and France, but that's mostly beside the point/

Libya was already in the midst of a civil war before any western intervention happened so blaming western intervention as the cause of the current chaos is dubious. Chaos was already there.

How do you explain how she's polling in the truthfulness issue?

How do you explain how she's polling in the truthfulness issue?

Do you think voters attitudes towards her truthfulness represent the results of a sober evaluation of her record or do you think they represent the reflection of messaging from elites over the past few decades? I'm going to go with #2.

She doesn't seem like a particularly honest person but I can't think of any politician that is. People like to hold up Bernie Sanders as somehow being uniquely truthful but he lied constantly. It's much more about image building.

How do you explain how she's polling in the truthfulness issue?

People are stupid to begin with. Your local Honey Boo Boo doesn't care about fact checks, she cares about Fox News talking points and AM radio talk shows. Unfortunately people who vote straight Republican are less educated, less informed and more likely to be brainwashed. Hey, she is "Crooked Hilary", so she must be "crooked" right?

I'll take that as a 'no' and that you're clueless regarding Hillary's prominent role which led to our involvement in the Libya War.

Oh another Secretary of State trying to tell us about politics behind Lybia and Benghazi. Please, former Harvard graduate, enlighten us with your vast wisdom and diplomacy experience.

I am pretty sure this thread is about Trump's plagiarism right?

CBS reports that she's fluent in Slovenian, Serbian, French, German, and English.

Yes, seriously.

Small side point, but nobody is really fluent in five languages. She may have a working command of all five, to various degrees, but nobody is really simultaneously fluent in more than two languages at any one time, with the exception of possible language genius outliers. I seriously doubt Melania is a language genius outlier.

And, btw, for all her many, many years in America and while reading from a prepared speech she would have intensely practiced beforehand, here she is on April 4th of this year slipping up and leaving out the 'a' while doing the Moose and Squirrel thing.

She couldn't even read her prepared and practiced script right. That's not fluency in English, friends.

lol How lucky we all are that this behavior is exclusive to Republicans.

In Trump's defense, he was clearly taking sniper fire when he said those things.

There is no intervention without the USA's muscle. Neither the UK nor France especially has the logistical capability for any meaningful intervention.

My only complaint about Mrs. Trump's speech is that somebody missed a golden opportunity to have her say "Moose and Squirrel must die."
