lmao.....there's no way a chick from Slovenia knows anything about the phrase "word is bond".

I've been laughing all morning.

She speaks 5 languages, has been in the US for 20 years, and has been married to a business man for 10. There's no way she could know the phrase?

I'm sure she knows that phrase but this is a pretty clear case of plagiarism. As usual, it looks like the Trump campaign is so thin skinned that they can't let anything go, meaning they will probably blow this minor issue up into a huge problem, yet again showing why Trump's temperament is hilariously unsuited to the presidency.

I m sure her parents didn't say that to her and I'm sure she doesn't say that in her day to day life.

Not arguing. Whoever wrote that part of the speech has some explaining to do. It's a pretty common theme in speeches; but the wording should have been changed.

Lazy speech writers. Period.

Exemplifies the type of people that will be in Trump cabinet.

Explain why her speech lines up line for line with Michelle's.

I'll wait.

She's so smart and she knows all those languages but used someone else's speech. Super tacky. But this is who some of you want as your first lady so...

Same for Michelle, though.

I guess you forgot where Michelle comes from. "Word is bond" is a very urban phrase and its been used in Hip Hop probably a gazillion times. Trump's wife has ZERO credibility here.

Michelle's parents were black. The expression got popularity with Wu-Tang. Melania is an immigrant who speaks 3 languages and doesn't speak English well. Her parents definitely didn't say that to her.

Exactly. I doubt she even knows who Wu-Tang is. Nas said "word is bond" a lot!

Good try...but the bubble is quite thick with this one.

Interesting how you defend the lack of integrity here. The speech was plagiarized, period. Insult my intelligence all you want. I went to College and wrote my own work and graduated. Ive never copied from anyone else and then tried to say I didn't.

I would have been more impressed if Melania started talking about growing up on the south side of Chicago

If Melania wrote it, then she is stupid and lazy.

If speech writers wrote it, then Melania is even more stupid and lazy. What else is she doing on that private jet?

I'm not defending her "lack of integrity". I just don't think this is a big deal like you do. If Obama had plagiarized someone else in a speech, would you be similarly outraged or would you be defending his lack of integrity?

I certainly wouldn't be blowing it off as "just words".

I'm not even "outraged". I actually think its hilarious because this election cycle is such a shit-show. There's also the fact that a lot of people who support Trump have commented negatively about Michelle....but here is their queen....reciting Michelle's words while they cheer her on. Pure comedy.
