You are just so wildly inconstant, which is sadly the norm for a lot of Republicans I know. It seems like you'll line up behind whatever position your Republican candidate offers, though it contradicts the position the last one took. Sadly, you seem intelligent too.

The last neocon we elected was Bush, which you voted for 2x.
Hillary supported Libya, Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan...so tell me, who are you going to vote for this Fall?

Your talk of me being the one who's being "wildly inconstant" here is somehow falling on deaf ears. Imagine that.

Key word: "supported"

Trump support"s" bigotry and laziness.

I imagine a lot of people are voting for same old because conservatives nominated a clown.

So to be clear your post meant 'here's an argument that I think is wrong'?

"Can you back that up?"
"What, you mean with correct information?"

It must be an awful thing to be intelligent enough to know you're saying silly things but not in control enough of your emotions to be able to cut the cord.

Oh no. They couldn't possibly be this dumb, could they?

The Independent - Meredith McIver: The mystery of the Trump employee behind Melania’s plagiarised speech

“The Mystery of Meredith McIver”: it sounds like the title of badly written novel, the same kind of formulaic prose to be found in Donald Trump’s books or, perhaps, in his wife’s speeches.

If we are to believe the Trump campaign, the blame for one of the largest and most obvious cases of plagiarism in the history of American politics comes down to one woman who is hiding in the shadows.

The pleasingly alliterative name of Donald Trump’s employee, the woman who supposedly helped to write Melania Trump’s speech for the RNC and which turned out to contain passages that matched Michelle Obama’s 2008 speech word for word, has no verified Twitter account and no LinkedIn profile.

Mr Trump, normally so keen to show off his “beautiful ladies”, has kept this ghost writer hauntingly silent.

Proven neocon vs clown hellbent on improving the economy and doing something about our illegal immigration problem. Tough choice.

What makes you think that Trump is hellbent on improving the economy? It seems that nearly every policy prescription he has put forth that was coherent enough to evaluate would cause somewhere between serious and catastrophic damage to the US and world economy or are ludicrously impossible to implement.

This is not simply the evaluation of liberal economists either, it's across the board. Go look at evaluations of his tax plan, evaluations of his trade plan, his statement about purposeful default on US debt, etc, etc. It's scary stuff. Not scary in the 'I don't agree with this' way, but scary in the 'holy shit this guy is either clueless or insane' way.

Used to think you had decent responses, although a stretch sometimes. However this is off a cliff. I feel bad for supporters who feel they have to completely tow the line. Your candidate doesn't have to be perfect for you to support them, no need to be delusional in your support.

There is no valid reason to consider me a "supporter".

Whether you care or not, the first lady is a person of importance, and has been since Abigail Adams. Integral in shaping our nation for good or for ill.

I lived through Nancy Reagan and Hillary as FLOTUS. I have not been a fan of First Ladies since then.

No, they are not a "person of importance". They have no authority nor responsibility aside from the ceremonial.

Do. Not. Care.

I tend to agree, recently we've started to expect first ladies take on some pet social project that never gets funded and is generally a half assed attempt. We seem to want to have a Queen like England does the difference is most people enjoy & support the Queen.

Hmmm...let me think...could it be that it's because it's been his schtick for the last 35 or so years?

Self aggrandizement has been his thing for 35 years, I've seen no indication that he cares much about the US economy. The closest he has gotten is ranting about trade deals that he doesn't understand.

All that aside, even if improving the US economy was his lifelong goal, the policies he has proposed are generally incoherent or catastrophic. 'His heart is in the right place' is no excuse. Again, this is not my judgment or the judgment of liberal economists only. I mean he actually talked about running up and then purposefully defaulting on US debt as a good economic policy. The sheer incompetence or malevolence behind that is breathtaking.

But yeah, he's all about improving the US economy. Lol.

It isn't only Melania.
It is down right sickening watching the media and their republican guests painting lipstick on this pig of a convention.
Not talking about Melania. I'm referring to the entire republican nominating process.

Speaker after speaker standing up there calling Hillary a crook, demanding her imprisonment, and yes... accusing her of satanic devil worshiping.
What the hell is going on?
-snip-

It's a political convention. It's what they do - throw red meat to the party faithful (fanatics).

I recommend you follow my example and not watch.

I'd bet good money that this "staffer" had absolutely nothing to do with this speech, and this is all made up to try and put this story to bed. My god Trump is really bad at this politics thing.

Yep....and that's most likely one of the major reasons why he appeals to so many people.

Gawd. Trump panders to fear, frustration & bigotry like no other politician of the modern era. Look how far it's brought him.

This won't faze his fans in the slightest because his pitch is raw emotion. They know he's a liar, a cheat, a thief & a charlatan. It doesn't matter. He plays them on a whole different level, a primal one.
