So from interviews, she was working as a lawyer, didn't really like it. So in her free time she set up video of herself reading news, cold-called, sent the tapes out and got hired.

Pretty impressive. Yes, she has the advantage of being hot white blonde, but she took the initiative none the less.

I haven't really seen a crossover like this from right wing media to mainstream.

People tell me looks don't matter. So I'm gonna video tape myself reading the news off of P and N and I'm gonna send it out and I'm gonna make 15 million dollars. :(

i find it fascinating that there is a man that actually married her despite the level of idiocy that is megyn kelly. I mean look how she spells megyn that is a red flag right there. I guess its true women only have to be pretty to be successful. They can be completely and utterly mentally challenged (megyn) and do well as long as they look good.

Hey megyn learn how to spell Megan correctly and maybe we can try to start taking you serious.

Found the fox news viewer.

$15 million/yr just to regurgitate old news from the internet. I am in the wrong damn business.

News is just entertainment like anything else at this level.

Who the f is actually pretending they get actual news from Megan Kelly? (However she spells her name).

She's an on air personality. Her job isn't really to report 'news' its to get eyeballs on screens and in turn ad revenue in some networks coffers. Same with most network news personalities anyone actually knows by name in any great numbers.

It's notable that Greta van Susteren is also leaving Fox, and is headed to MSNBC.

This doesn't mean that she'll change ideology (any more than Kelly will), but it doesn't look good for two of Fox's better-known women to leave in short order. And leaving for MSNBC, which has more of a left-wing bent (though it has been toning down the opinion lately)?

I don't want to read too much into it, because I do think I overreached somewhat earlier, but still... it's hard to shake the feeling that this isn't just about cash or work/life balance.

That article is weird. GVS left Fox before the Ailes scandal.

If commenting on the quality of your posts insults you, tough shit. Maybe you should try to post more informed positions?

The history of sexual harassment at Fox is far from bullshit, and the topic of this thread was subjected to it as were dozens of other women. Sorry this is all news to you, but it's entirely within your power to change that.

You are such a soft touch.

:)

Ah, I thought it sounded familiar. Did she announce the MSNBC move at the time?

No, the only reason I know this is because I follow her on Twitter for some ungodly reason. She opted out of her Fox contract months ago and ever since she's been sending out these vapid tweets about not being sure if she'd take another news job or not.

Haha, Greta's show on FNC was called "For The Record".

Her new show on MSNBC will be called... "On The Record" (my emphasis).

A little off topic but Greta is on MSNBC now and I must say, so far, not a fan. Not a lot of substance coming from her or her guests. Hopefully this isn't the direction MSNBC is going to go with the rest of the programming.

She's eh, ok, just wish MSNBC would tone down on the echo effect they add to all their host, its really annoying.
