You're thinking of Super Castlevania IV. CV3 was for NES.

Mega Man 3 was by no means an easy game, I don't care what anyone says.

Yeah, that is the exact same order that I used. Bubble Man == easiest boss EVAR once you have metal :D

Wrong. Metal Man is, once you have metal. 1 Hit kill :)

Mega man 3 was most definitnely an easy game. If you consider MM3 a hard game, then you dont know what a REAL hard game is like.

I think most extremely hard games...are in fact just really bad games. I played lots of games that the first 2 levels were impossible. Thats bad design IMO, the game offers new players nothing but frustration. They don't even have time to be hooked on the game, or enjoy some small early rewards...they just lose, over and over again.

That was why milon's secret castle sucked. That and it was about a wizard that shot bubbles or some stupid sh|t like that. Of course, bubble bobble was about dinosaurs that shot bubbles and that ruled so its probably the first part that made it suck.

Anybody ever play Ninja Crusaders for the NES? You picked up various weapons throughout the level and you could change into a certain animal, depending on the weapon you had. I couldn't beat that game, despite my best efforts. I beat Mega Man 3 eventually, though it took me a while.

Battletoads was impossible.

never gotten past level 3. the one where you are on the hover craft and you have to jump and dodge on them.

it is literally impossible.

You think that was hard? I had a couple friends who could get past that, and there is a later level where you do the same thing, only MUCH faster!

Yeah that game was ridiculous too, even the battletoads double-dragon crossover was only a slight improvement. That game kicked ass though.

If I remember the order correctly: Top Man, Shadow Man, Spark Man, Magnet Man, Hard Man, Snake Man, Gemini Man, Needle Man.

Although I could easily start with magnet man, snake man or needle man just as well.

But yeah, if MM3 is too hard for you, put down the controller, right now. You want a hard game, give mega man one a try. Now THAT is a hard game. Evene 2 was a hell of a lot easier than 1.

Actraiser one was easy too, so youre probably thinking of two.

Castlevania 1 wasnt nearly as impossible as castlevania 3. I dont think anyone has ever beaten that one on its own. Or contra 1 without the code. Or the original zelda, without a guide.

gah~~~!! castlevania 1 was impossible (i raise my white flag on that one)... i think part of it was due to the clumsy jumping controls. castlevania:sotn for psx is one of my all time favorites and that one had awesome controls.

contra 1... yup took a lot of skills + pattern rec but still doable (with up up down down)

zelda 1 was pretty easy (and a LOT of fun). I think I still have the original fake gold nes cartridge somewhere...

I beat the game, it was all about keeping it in your memory.

Just a month ago I fired up the NES rom for it, and was able to make it through the speeder bike level in 2 guys because I still had the damn level memorized. After what, 13, 14 years now?

This game comes from the old school where games were so fvcking impossible that you wanted to break something. They don't make games like this anymore.. everything I play I beat at a relatively quick pace, but this little bastard took me over a year to complete.

I loved MM 3 - best music and gameplay but agree it was DAMN hard. Friend and I beat it without the jump cheat but it was a long, extremely frustrating road.

Damn, brings back memories. I rented that game like 5 times and could never ever get past that damn hover craft level.

You've either played a grand total of 1 NES games, or are talking out of your ass. MM3 was not an easy game by any measure, let alone the easiest.

Music was badass in 3, better in 2 though.

Super mario bros is far harder than mega man 3. You want to talk hard, try life force without any codes. Hell, try any konami game.

All capcom games were at least finishable with a reasonable amount of effort. Except for ghosts and goblins. Not even god himself could beat that game without cheating.

Konami games were pretty much impossible by nature. Except for castlevania 2, that wasnt too bad.

But bayou billy, contra, rush n attack...all impossible unless you devote your life to the game.

Ninja gaiden was pretty damn near impossible too.

Having played damn near all of them, at least the important ones, I would say that MM3 was about average to slightly easier than most nintendo games.

A good deal of NES games were just about impossible because they left you in the dark and you had to figure out by complete trial and error where everything was. I dont think Id ever have finished zelda if someone didnt tell me what tree to burn in the forest to find one of the dungeons. Metroid 1 metal gear and a few other oldies were like this as well.
