Awwwww. He's cute. :)
I love dogs right up until I step in dog poop. Then I curse them all to hell.

Hi, I'm doggy's mommy. Blitz is really depressed :-( He doesn't want to eat and all he does is lie around and sleep all day. He was crying in the middle of the night that woke me up at 2:30am, 4:30am and 5:30am. I just gave up and slept downstairs near the dog incase he howled again. Any advice? I'm guessing he's just depressed and misses his 5 brothers. He'll be going to the vet soon for his check up.

Ok. Good. Buying a pet from a pet shop isn't the best idea. The cats/dogs in pet shops are bred on what are called cat/dog farms where there are literally dozens (usually like 100) cats or dogs living in one house in poor conditions.

Some small stuffed animals to keep him company, a hot water bottle, a windup clock (imitate heart beat).

Thanks for tips Squisher, we already did the stuffed animal to try and keep him company, but that didn't go so well. The bottle and clock sounds good as well.

I know. I've been searching for a puppy for well over 2 years now, but the right one never came along at the shelter. My mom is the one who really wanted a puppy and she's super duper picky so that's why it's taken us so long. In fact, she's not even approving of the coloration on this pup! She's just grateful he's obdeient and quiet.

Maybe it will just take a bit of time for him to get to know his new parents, and for him to start to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. Must be a bit of a shock suddenly losing all his brothers/ sisters overnight.

OMG sooo cute
8 weeks ? still misses its mother
windup clock is a good idea, unless you want him to sleep in your bed
separation is hard, but he'll get over it
what breed is it ?

I have a wind up clock. Can somebody explain the concept of how a wind up clock would work with a dog again? It's pretty foreign to me.

The kid upchucked a little this morning and he hasn't really eaten anything since yesterday. I'm getting concerned. My vet can't see him until Monday.

I was told that his mother is a beagle/terrier and dad is a beagle/lab. I see no beagle or terrier in this kiddo, just a bunch of lab!

It's supposed to simulate the heartbeat the puppy would hear from the mother. It helps them to relax and feel more comfortable about the new surroundings.
