So while playing America's Army today a hacker came on the server (it was blatant). I started trash-talking him and tk'ing him until he'd leave. He got pretty steamed eventually so I posted my address and told him to come find me so I could show him what real combat is like. He laughed, said he was from Seattle and would be happy to. Then he left.

Now, I've done this before, no big deal; but this guy was a little more whacko than most and he might actually be stupid enough to come try to mess with me. I'd hate to actually have to hurt someone over something this stupid, so I'm seriously hoping he thinks this through and lets it go.

If not, I may be posting a link to some personally involved news soon. 8-(

Well, generally, after I tk them for a while and let them know what I think of idiots who hack (like that I'd be happy to rearrange their anatomy over it), they go away. It's not fun for most of them if it looks like it's getting real. I'm not particularly worked up, I was more or less running through a script that's had good results in the past.

never give people a reason to do anythign sometimes.....i psot my phone number, but that is as far as I go.....sure they can look me up and have a satellite pic of my neighborhood in moments and have sharp shooters at the ready when I try to sneak through the backyard...

Not very. It's a great neighborhood, no real cover for someone to try that, very open, very busy. And I'm just about the most aware person you'll ever meet. He'd either be very good or very lucky to surprise me. Unless he plans on sniping me from the roof of a building a block or two away, he would be hard pressed to get the drop. If he's going to go that far, then there's no reason to worry about it since he'll obviously win. *shrug*

Not really. I'm always armed, my doors are secure, and I'd never open it without knowing who was on the other side. I'm so security conscious anyway that I'm almost a different species. And now I'll be just a bit more alert than usual.
