That's about as bad as someone asking who is Larry Byrd or Joe Montana.

You don't know who Tony Gwynn is? You don't have much to contribute to a HoF discussion then.

For real.

The double standards is sports is sickening....baseball players juice and they get lambasted by the media and public. Football players juice and they're breaking down playoff teams on ESPN and getting consideration for All-Pro, All-NFL teams.

Who's Larry Byrd?

who didnt vote for Tony Gwynn!!??

remember it's reporters voting... they tend to be very biased.

Yeah him too, didn't he have like 6 batting titles and 5 gold gloves, something insane like that

8 batting titles, 5 gold gloves, 15 all-star selections, career .338 hitter and 3141 hits.

Very surprised to see Don Mattingly only got 10% of the vote. I wonder what year he's in. And I'd like to see the Goose get in; he was always one of my favorite pitchers to watch, although Ryan was my all-time favorite.

no shock he is refused. many are denied the first time up.

but i do not think him, sosa or bonds makes it.

You have to realize that the average peep on the BBS was not even born when he played 🙂

They should strip anybody suspected of juicing of all of their records and deny them entry into the HoF.

They did effectively the same thing to a guy who only bet on games that he couldn't influence.

Talk about double standard.

Agreed. Pete needs to be in the Hall. Proven juicers should not be. Same goes for football. Merriman shouldn't be able to make the Pro-Bowl, receive awards, or go into the HoF.

I have opinions about McGwire, but I'm not here to talk about the past, I'm here to be positive about this subject. 😛
