Unix is not a PC OS
Darwin is not Unix
Berkeley Software Distribution (BSD, sometimes called Berkeley Unix) is a UNIX operating system derivative developed and distributed by the Computer Systems Research Group http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berkeley_Software_Distribution
Darwin is not Unix. Unix and Unix family members are not the same thing.
From your link:
In 1997, Apple Computer sought out a new foundation for its Macintosh operating system and chose NEXTSTEP, an operating system developed by NeXT. The core operating system, which was based on BSD and the Mach kernel, was renamed Darwin after Apple acquired it. The deployment of Darwin in Mac OS X makes it, according to a statement made by an Apple employee at a USENIX conference, the most widely used Unix-based system in the desktop computer market.
Look up POSIX for your own sake, also this:

Digging yourself a hole, bud.
Typical Mac guy. Enjoy the ignorance!why don't macs have viruses? how do i enable this feature like on windows?
Unix, unix-based, same difference?
Mac office is terrible. I run vmware with virtual XP to be able to use non-stupid office
Love all these pics, made by 15 year olds that have never seen or heard of unix.
Also anyone making an argument that closed-source proprietary windows is infinitely customizable probably thinks that running regedit makes him a l333t haxx0r. Retard facepalm.

whats a triforce?
Who the hell uses Windows anymore. Seriously. It's like the COBOL of operating systems at this point.
Corporations and desktops around the globe say hi.
These OS dick size contests are beyond lame. If you seriously wonder who is still using Windows, in all of its forms, you are beyond clueless.
If you have to resort to trashing Windows, or whatever your counterpart OS might be, it screams of an inferiority complex. Seriously, kind of thinking was covered in grade school: those that make fun of others are usually just insecure and/or jealous.
What works best for one, may not be the best choice for another. Thankfully we have choices so that more people are satisfied. This should be a good thing, right?
And to these lame ass jabs at other OS's started from a McDonalds WiFi setup brochure.![]()
I think I must have replied to the wrong thread because I can't find the post anymore. Was basically a screenshot of a post on some forum about writing a batch file to "do the triforce" but it actually deleted system32 and someone fell for it. The whole thread was priceless.

Apple is fantastic at marketing. They've managed to convince plenty of people to spend, at minimum, 3x more on a Mac than a PC, covince fanbois that they need the latest and greatest iWhatevers, all the while holding back features so they can release a new iWhatever in a year and get those morons to purchase a brand new one, just so they can have the built-in comb (or whatever pointless and worthless minor gadget they add).
I like some Apple products (I'll never buy a Mac unless they decide to bring prices out of the stratosphere - $3k fo a computer that can use 10% of the software when I can buy the equivalent for $500 and use the other 90%? No thanks, I have more financial sense than that), they've made superior mp3 players from the start, but honestly, Mac fanbois are the most brainwashed people I've ever met. I mean, earlier in this thread, we had a fanboi defending the retarded one-button design as if it wasn't a completely terrible idea (hint: if it requires a work-around, it's not a good idea to begin with). Give me a break.
As for the "Macs don't get virii" argument: PCs dont' either, if you can resist the urge to click on random internet links and don't use torrent sites as your primary source of software.
