BTW, the reason you can't sue is because if something is wrong, the food preparer is charged under the criminal code. You probably could sue for a small amount after all the court proceedings finished...not sure. The funniest case was when some guy tried to tell my dad that he found a live roach in a bottle of Coke. My dad questioned him as to how the roach didn't drown to which the guy told my dad to stop being a smart alek:)

I found a tube-like stucture in my quarter pounder, is it a vein or a maggot? Think I got a case?

Has anybody else been able to find this story anywhere? I checked CNN, MSNBC, FoxNews, Reuters and The Detroit News. I can't find a word about it.

what's not noted is that his mother went on who wans to be a millionaire, she got stuck on her first question so she's making it up to the family by using her son to file a suit. Just 1 million not too much or too little. They think it would become national lol

I thought of a great headline for the story about the McMaggots:

Would You Like Flies With That? :D

Hehe WW, I'd hate to think how you'd write the story if it was a girl that claimed she's inadvertently sucked on a cockroach.

All the boy had to do was close his eyes and pretend he was eating rice. :)

That would be the McDonald's "Bug Mac", I believe. Or the "Quarter-Pounder with Sleaze."

<< This is HIGHLY suspect. The kid claims he got the burger, bit into it, and found LIVE maggots. Now, I too want to know how maggots can survive being cooked???

I'm sorry, but the burden is on the kid and his mother to prove they didn't plant the maggots. Had it been dead maggots, the story would be slightly more believable.
>>

Oh come on AmusedOne, you and I both know that maggots from hell can survive high temperatures!

I personally saw a dead, decomposed, baby bird found in a can of asparagus.

Pretty nasty sh*t. I even took a picture of it, tho Im not allowed to publish (share) it since my former newspaper has copyright to it.

I *seriously* doubt it.

Cheeseburger meat is cooked at way too high of a temp, for way too long, and it's pressed.
I can't see anything surviving 425F for 38 seconds.
