<< if you only knew what went on back there.......... youd know why you were sick. >>

I don't know what kind of McDonald's you worked at, but I worked at one for almost 2 years, and our store was spotless, in the front and back of the store. Anything that touched the floor was immediatly thrown out, even things in packaging(like honey and barbeque sauce containers). While the first priority was to get things out fast, we were required to be constantly cleaning as well. And everyone in the grill area had to sanitize their hands every 15-30 minutes, depending on how busy it was.

I'd eat there once in a while but the last time, I bought some mcnuggets and they tasted and felt like compressed chicken skins. Hardly NO meat. Sooo disgusting I haven't gone back.

nice sense of taste you have, its probably chicken skin with a bunch of random organ meat:) Thats why you don't cheap out and buy nuggets you dolt, get mcgrill chicken and stuff higher up the menu:)

Used to work for a wholesale bread and roll bakery that supplied most of the resturants in town. One route supervisor told me he wouldn't eat at *any* of the fast food burger places after seeing their kitchens. :disgust:

Things that annoy me in McDonalds:

Their heavy-handed tactics:

They sued a restaurant called McNuggles in UK (propably because it's name resembles McDonalds. Even when those two restaurantes weren't serving the same customers).

McDonalds sued the head of Clan McDonald in Scotland. He opened a hi-end restaurant in his castle(!) called... McDonalds. Now, the heritage of that clan goes back about 1000 years, I think they have the right to use the name (it's their name after all!), and the restaurants are NOTHING alike (dime a dozen hamburger restaurant vs. Exclusive hi-end gourmet restaurant).

That clown in their ads. The most stupid thing I have ever seen!

The tv-commercials. In the ads, their burgers look HUGE! notice how they picture "Big" Mac from below, so it will look BIG! But in reality, it's miniscule.

I too got once sick from their hamburgers here in Finland. Normally the basic hamburgers costs 11Fims. They had it on sale for 3Fims, so I went and bought 3. As I was eating the first one, I thought "11 Fims for this is way too much!". As I was eating the second I thought "3 Fim is the right price for this...". As I was eating the third I thought "I wouldn't even pay 3 Fims for this piece of crap.". I felt sick for the rest of the day.

I believe you could go to ANY restaurant and see thing that are better left unseen.

have yall heard of the man whom severed his finger a cambell soup factory...it fell in vat of ingredients...production didn't stop.

Let's face it.....every restaurant and food plant in the world..has done something that it should not have done. Some more than others

McD's is good as far as fast food goes. They even have some advantages. They have, by far, the best meat in the business. You may not believe it, but all McDonalds meat is between 3-6% fat, pure ground beef.

It's hard to go to the grocery and find meat that good.

I worked there for 3.5 years. They even paid for my first year in college through McD scholarships. I still eat there. But yeah, stuff happens to the food. When you pay minimum wage, you aren't exactly hiring a rocket scientist. But, if the owners of the store were there everyday, it wouldn't happen. Besides, it probably wont kill you to eat a burger off the ground. I wouldn't serve it, but I know several dumbasses that we had hired that would. They wouldn't know any better.

On the same token, though, I've had friends that worked for Outback and same thing happens there. Same thing happens at every restuarant unless you go to a Mom and Pop shop. I worked at a Melting Pot and this stuff happened there, too.

That's an old wives tales. It wasn't a vat, it was more a "mixing pot".

maybe a wives tale....but are you confident that something very similar to that has never happened? I would be willing to bet big time that something similar has happened, and happened more than once.

Did you know they also sued Comfort Inn when they were starting the new chain of hotels called McSleep Inn. The name was changed to Sleep Inn after the trial because McDs won. I read the case study in some Westlaw papers a few years back. Orginially, McSleep was decided because Scottish heritage is associated with clean. (ie, Scottish Inns) Honestly, I thought it was a joke when I started reading through the case study.

As you can tell, though, McDs clearly won. You can find Sleep Inns everywhere...no McSleep Inns.

I have boycotted McD's hamburgers since 1995. I used to eat them a few times a week back in college...I think it is the grease everyone likes...not the meat!

I still eat there on occasion but I only get the chicken sandwich (not the pressed meat one).

I ate at Burger King recently and realized I hate their hamburger meat...looks like another boycott is coming!

actually I am kinda boycotting Burger King..i think their burgers taste better than McD's but I hate their commercials. I hate any commercial that is based upon bashing their competitors product, instead of baseing the commercial solely on your own product.

McD's has the best commercials..I just think they are some of the classiest commercials on tv.

I am not expecting a lot of support on this but this is my opinion. I do sometimes still go to BK, but not nearly as often as McD's.

I work at McDonalds and anything that touches the ground, or anything else dirty is immediately thrown out, we use diferent spatulas to put diferent types of food on sandwitches(not the same for chicken and meat) and on the big boxes full of patties thay all say Product of Ontario 100% pure beef(I work at macdonalds in canada). Also any warappers that hit the ground are thrown out. We have to put timers on everything from cooked patties to froxen patties to letuce and tomatoes, so no old nasty food gets served to anyone. Also dont forget that we have to was our hands when we touch a broom or anything else that *might* be dirty. We also eat there ourselves too, so it's pretty clean our we wouldnt. The boss can get pretty mad if anything not clean gets done. Also some things prone to be "infected" by gers more easily like the McGrills we are not alowed to touch, we place them with their own special McGrill placing tool.

I'd like to know how often McDonald's, or any other place for that matter, throws out food that they say has been sitting in the warming area too long.
For instance, I heard some places don't allow cheeseburgers to sit there for more than a couple hours, and then they must be thrown out. Just imagine all that wasted food! I'd eat a hamburger that sat for an hour or two, if it was free, how bad could it be?!
I'm sorry if I sound cheap, but I was just wondering. I might get to know a manager and hang out for some free grub. :)

We make orders as they come in, nothing stays in the warming area more than the time it takes for the people in front to give them to the customers. The timers on cookes patties are 20 minutes(we have timers for everyting that we have to push everytime we make stuff) McChickers/cryspy chicken and nuggets are 30 minutes(filet-o-fish too) and McGrill timers are 1 hour, one the timer beep the entire tray is trown out. Apple and promotional pies are good for 3 hours.

I seem to get sick if I go there at the end of the day when everything is old. Maybe it's just my mind being retarded. Who knows I guess. I'm not a huge fan of Mcdonalds.
