McDonald's 'Premium' chicken is meh. Definitely not worth the $4.50!

i had a coupon: buy the premium chicken, get free fries and soda.

they had 3 varieties:
classic, ranch (bacon), club (bacon + cheese)

all come on whole wheat bun, and have lettuce leaf and a tomato.

i got the club. was definitely not worth $4.50 for the value meal, much less $4.50 for the samwich alone. (value meal was almost $7 😱)

McDonald's chicken has gotten WORSE since they started calling it "premium" or whatever. It was great when it was crispier, like Wendy's. Now the breading is nasty.
 
Pro tip... Get the $1 McChicken sans mayo, and ask for a pack of hot picante sauce to put on it. It still isn't great, but easily worth $1. Their premium chickens suck.
 
Around here they're using some gimp non honey wheat buns on their chicken sandwiches now. Stuff blows noodles now.
 
I actually really like the premium grilled chicken club sandwich. Not such a fan of the "premium" bun that they put it in... I'd rather a regular hamburger bun. But in any case, the sandwich is decent.

Won't eat the fries or get a drink, though.

I eat there all the time. I live in the bible belt and have never had any problems with them from a religious perspective. They are always fast and courteous. Did they try to convert you or something? LOL


The Mcd black angus burger sucks. I get their double cheeseburger and small fry for ~$2.50.

getting anything other than a cheeseburger double cheesburger, big mac( a cheeseburger with an extra bun) or chicken nuggets it's a recipe for disaster at mcdonalds. Anything else you eat there will taste like crap. Oh well there fries are ok, but everything else is crap.

I honestly see very little difference in the crispy patties, from cheapest, to most expensive. The main difference is a prettier bun, and some vegetables on top. It's also a bit bigger, but not substantially.
