I think the lawsuit for the gluten content is justified, as it really can lead to serious illness. But the lawsuit from the vegan is kind of ridiculous.

Err, people are allergic to wheat and milk stuff, so I think it's right they should be sued, because they are a health hazard to some people.
Sure, the burgers are too, but that's fairly obvious because they disclose nutritional values and if you can't understand eating unhealth food is bad for you, you deserve to be fat so no one ever loves you and you can't reproduce, but if you are exposed to something dangerous to your health that has been kept a secret, then that's not acceptable.

I already knew there was some kind of wheat product in their frieds, because my wife was also gluten sensitive and always got sick after eating them.

I think this is a legitimate lawsuit. Some food allergies can be fatal.

I agree on both counts. The vegan should be shot for even considering such a stupid frivolous lawsuit.

I believe this is all ridiculous. utterly stupid.

If you choose to not eat something it is YOUR responsibility not to eat that and ask questions about what you eat.

If you have an eating problem or allergy it is YOUR responsibility to ask questions about ingredients.

The fact is people DID ask questions about what was in the food and McDonalds lied, FDA regulations require that ALL ingredients be disclosed, hence the lawsuit.

I agree with this lawsuit.......when the rules say you must dislose what ingredients are in your food then you must do just that.

I have a problem with this. So no one ever died from the fries before and now that they admit to the milk in the fries someone just so happens get sick NOW and never before? That is my issue.

You do realize that's the crux of the lawsuit. The answer they were providing was incorrect...

At face value I DO agree with this lawsuit, but not for general "I want to sue because McDs made me fat".

"Oh my god, I don't eat animal products, and you forced me to eat crappy fries flavored with dairy, I'm going to sue you!"

Grow up.

Well if that's the case and they did indeed provide false information then I agree with it. But I didn't see anything in the article that said McD's lied.

But if the customer made the assumption about ingredients then hogwash. You can have a food allergy to literally anything and if so YOU must take the precautions.

My SO once had a near death experience because WE weren't careful enough to ask about ingredients. After the episode it never crossed our minds that it was somehow the restaurants fault.

-edit- and I have NEVER heard of the FDA requiring the disclosure of ingredients on prepared food.
