Ok, so I'm tired of McCain bashing Obama about his support or lack thereof of our troops, most notably our veterans and those injured in the line of duty. Turn about is fair play and after you read this you'll understand why he should be called McShame.

Sadly McCain has gotten a free pass from the press regarding this among other things. So if you can still support this hypocrite after reading this please feel free to come in and bash Obama some more. Or you can post here even if you don't want to bash Obama.
His voting record speaks for itself regardless of how one-sided this may appear.

Linking to one-sided opinion blogs does very little to sway anyone. Ultimately, one would expect that McCain, as a veteran, would have a better understanding of issues confronting veterans, and in the end I'd bet he'll get more votes and support from veterans than Obama. Obama on the other hand is going to get the black vote and the vote of the younger generation looking for a different kind of politician, not like all the other ones they've seen.

We all know how that game is played. Every bill can have all sorts of stuff connected to it, so saying someone voted against something means squat. Look at those bills and you'll also note that on most of them (not all) the votes are straight down the party line -- that usually indicates the bill contains something one of the two parties is absolutely against not just some benefit for veterans. Typical political ploy. You see this every four years, scores of misleading adds about candidates on TV, saying stuff like "he voted against benefits for children", or "he was against providing relief for our seniors!". Basically a bunch of crap.

Excuse me Double Trouble, when it comes time to support our troops and reward their service and sacrifice, Obama stood up and McCain did not. Will the real hypocrite in John McCain please stand up? After all, not every POW can marry a wealthy beer heiress while cheating on his present wife.

Its pretty simply in my mind, the trouble is not in our troops, its in the current defective GOP leadership of our military. McCain disgusts me as GWB&co has effectively broken our military reserve system.

That is not brags or blogs, its fact.

So McCain votes for almost everything else that has earmarks, but not when it concerns Veterans? If all of Congress would vote for naked bills without earmarks we wouldn't be facing a half trillion dollar deficit for the next year's budget, nor would we be facing an almost 11 trillion dollar debt. That doesn't excuse Mc Cain for not supporting programs geared towards vets and our injured military.

The GOP tries their hardest to impale Democrats for opposing funding for troops in a combat zone, while at the same time denying funding for those troops once they return home.

My father is retired Air Force and I'm sure he supports McCain. He's always voted Republican and since I grew up in his household I know for a fact that he is a racist and could never support Obama. I have an older brother who was a Marine and is now disabled and I also have a younger brother who was in the Navy, who is also disabled so this lack of support for veterans by McCain hits home with me. Sadly, because of media coverage or the lack thereof people like my father never see someone like McCain's voting record and just blindly support him. The only thing I can say to someone like him is to consider the families of over 4000 U.S. soldiers who have lost their lives in the BS war in Iraq. It falls on deaf ears though.

Trying to bring them home safely = support
Having them risk thier lives for a useless war that gains us nothing but negative one trillion dollars and all while Haliburton and other companies getting rich off of it = not support

Then you are certainly wrong. I read all of them.

Those who just want to bash McCain, go ahead, you don't need to pretend to have a reason. Those who bash Obama will do the same. I just won't fall for the partisan tripe trying to pain McCain as anti-troops or something. Like I said, we all know how the game works when it comes to voting records.
