This is odd - I heard from you that the judge scrapped the plea deal because it was too lenient but instead it was because the feds wanted the option to charge him with more crimes and that any revised deal was too harsh for Biden’s attorneys to accept.No he didn't get the sweet deal as it fell apart in court.

Not to derail, but I just went by Fox and Billy Barr was going on and on about how these current charges against Trump are legit. He was asked why he joined the Trump team in the first place, and his answer was that he was being unfairly charged with Russian collusion. Had to move my head out of my own way, as I tried to slap my forehead.

This is the sort of two-step I was referring to. He can’t be charged because he’s the president but since he wasn’t convicted (because he couldn’t be charged) he didn’t do anything wrong! Perfectly circular reasoning.
