Bad news guys. They are reducing the number of cars per train. Instead of having 16 people per train it is now 12. I don't know if this is permanent or temporary but it is in effect for the first weekend and maybe a little while longer.

Reducing a rides capacity by 25% is not good. Look to have lines of 4-6 hours. :(

Man, I wish I still lived in Ohio, so I could go. Cedar Point is the best park, bar none. I just don't understand why it doesn't get more recognition. And that new coaster....oh, my god 420 feet! 0-120 in 4 seconds! Holy Crap! :Q

ditto, I have a little Paramount park 5 minutes from my house now, but once you have been to Cedar Point..... used to live around an hour away. I still go back to Ohio quite a bit throughout the year, have to make this a trip sometime to ride that new beast.

it gets the recognition it has earned, the best amusement park in the world.

Any football fans? The forward pass for football was invented at Cedar Point Beach, was getting hard to run in the sand, bonus points for whoever cann tell me who?????

We should go at the end of August. All the kids are back in school and there are absolutely no lines. But I don't know if I can wait till August.

The date should be pushed back. They are still not up to 100% with TTD and the lines today ranged from 4-6 hours to get on. It will likely not improve for a couple of weeks.

Later in the year isn't bad at CP. I went in August 2001 and lines weren't bad.
Personally, I'm waiting, since lines for TTD are so long now. Opening day it was about 200 people per hour, but should be up to 1500 later. It wasn't running all trains, and each train has one car taken off.

Is anyone still planning on going on the 10th? I had a trip to Cedar Point scheduled with a bunch of friends for the 12th, but now intellicast says it's supposed to pour rain and be windy that day, as well as the 10th. Any suggestions?

Delaware, Ohio? That's not a bad drive to the point.

Remember, I saw it today on TV. $10 off admission with a pepsi can. It'll be better than nothing if you can't get enough for the group rate

Maybe they're not home yet? But the weather was crazy here in SE Michigan, the wind's were really strong, which would make CP close down most rides...

Guess we'll see.

Did anyone actually go?

I had heard most of the rides were closed for most of the day due to the high winds.

I will be there on May 27th. Anyone else?

I just got back yesterday from the point and it was kick ass. Went on almost everything except the new ride because the cable snapped the first day we where there.

Awesome time and awesome place. If you have never been then try to go. You will never forget it.
