2 systems here, one with a 80GB Seagate from a deal a year or so ago (when I loved AT) and one with a dying
IBM 60GXP warranty replacement (I hate IBM too haha). After watching this forum a while and not seeing much
for hard drive deals, I walked into a local Fry's for a $39.99 after rebate 40 gig Western Digital HD for the 2nd
system. I walked out with a $220 - $100 MIR 180GB SE drive for the main system... 3yr warranty, ATA100 controller
card in the box... $149 or so after tax..

THEN I check back here, to see the current deals. Doh! Did I really need another 180 gigs? probably not. Is 120 gig
a lot? yes! is it enough? sure. Is $76 (or $86) less money than $149? yes! Price per gig is about the same, and I've
not used a WD drive in a few years... never used a 8 meg cache drive. Might be kinda cool. 3 year warranty is good.
Have phone and credit card handy for call to Staples... what to do.. what to do... grrrr

Just got off the phone with CSR, and BAM, im gettin it for $85.70
It took a while for the CSR to verify everything, like the rebates and BB price, then she had to call me back after verifying that BB has it in stock. So i got the PM and the $30 off $150.
Total time on phone = roughly 30mins

I was going to order this morning and thought I had better check stock before ordering and when I got to BB's site it was showing OOS so I didn't even try.

I picked my 120 Gig (Ultra series with 3-year warrenty!!!) in store Sunday. They were oos on the 80 gig, so I told the manager I was going to go to bestbuy, but he matched their price of $109 AR with 110% on the 120 gig and let me use the 20 off of 100 coupon I only had the code for! My cost $92.64 including tax. Staples is my favorite B&M, and not just because there is one only 2 blocks away.
