PG-13? LOL

This movie will suck so hard

Wait, what? Where did you see that? Are you certain about this? If so I will be very disappointed.

As of April of 2008, no one nows quite yet. In a recent interview, star Mila Kunis confirmed that the movie will likely be rated PG-13.

""The movie is PG-13," says Kunis. "It's incredibly dark. You still get the gist of it. The only different between R-rated and PG-13 is you might not see as much blood."

Mark Wahlberg: "Its PG-13, so you dont get to swear. You dont get to hide behind that."

Bah, so lame!

KT

Oh fuck that shit. "hide behind that"? What a load of crap. He's had plenty of roles where he "hid behind" an avalanche of F-bombs, why is he getting all sanctimonious?

This just went from probable in-theater viewing to maybe-DVD-if-I-remember-it. I'm so sick of film makers selling out in order to appeal to the widest audience possible.

Eh, I was pissed Die Hard 4 went pg13 until I saw it, and frankly I didn't see what else they could have done to change it from R, so I think it's a non-issue. Boo Hoo, they can't yell fuck 30 times or drop C-bombs, or show someone graphically tortured to death. DH4 proved rating is mostly irrelevent in an action flick. Unless you require gratuitous stripper scenes.

Meh. The Dark Knight is PG-13 (looks like it really is pushing the limits of the rating) and it sounds like it will be one of the better movies of the year. So, it is still possible for a PG-13 movie to be very good.

All the Bond movies are PG-13 and pull it off well - this flick has a chance.

Yeah, I noticed that on his IMDB page. That is one of my favorite series and I honestly didn't recognize him in it.

Looks cool. I loved the first game when it came out and I hope the movie is good too.

Batman and James Bond don't really have the gritty gangster film noir thing going on. It makes sense for those to be PG-13 because the story doesn't benefit from lots of cursing, nudity, or extreme violence. But those are fairly key ingredients for the type of film that I thought Max Payne would be. Imagine Sin City as a PG-13 movie.

Looks surprising decent for being based off a video game. I'm guessing those demons/flying mofos are hallucinations or methaphorical? I hope so.

Bond and Batman are different, they've always been PG-13 (for the most part) going back to the books/comics/other movies.

Max Payne was screaming for an R.

You're right about the Dark Knight though Queasy, it does appear to be pushing the limits of that reating, but Batman movies have never been gory, nor had a tonne of swearing, they were just very dark.

He's been in a lot of tv series too from what I remember. Who knew that someone who was a member of new kids on the block would be a pretty decent actor?

Looks cool, but Mark's voice over work at the beginning of the trailer is awful. Not a great choice for Max Payne, but could be a cool film.

Shooter was pretty good, but it's not for everyone.

I don't think it'd be horrible as PG-13... I mean it's been a long time since I played Max Payne or the sequel, but the game never really stuck out to me as some horribly mature game... the appeal was always the story and how it was told... of course the bullet time and such too :D.

Woo for Mona "during" Sax :D!

Is it out in Blu Ray? I borrowed the DVD from a friend but never got around to watching it before returning it.

Yeah that trailer does actually look cool. Didn't even know they were making it already, you hear about these kinda things a long time ago and just figure they won't be out till 2011 or something like that.

The original Max Payne on PC is a classic, bloody brilliant. Looks like they might be paying a good tribute to it, but who knows. PG-13 does kinda suck, but no big deal to me. Surprised there was no "bullet time" in the trailer.

I also think he was great in Shooter. Hope this movie works, the trailer just doesn't draw me in.

Michael T. Weiss would have been a better Max Payne. Mainly cause they look so similar!

I was thinking that if Clive Owen could handle the voice he would do very well in this role.
