Wow, that actually looks good.

Man I loved the first Max Payne game that came out.

Donnie Wahlberg is an actor? Huh.

Mark Wahlberg has been up and down. He seems to do better in movies where he is part of an ensemble cast.

As long as Uwe Boll stays away there is hope. I think Wahlberg is actually really good in these roles. If not for The Happening I might be hard pressed to think of a movie of his I didn't like.

Looks pretty damn good, wondering if the "demons" are part of the drug.

I thought Donnie was good in Ransom, but that's the only role of his I can recall (aside from that brief appearance in The Sixth Sense).

Definitely agree on Mark, very up and down, though I thought he was great in Boogie Nights, The Italian Job, and The Departed. I can;t think of any other standouts.

As for the trailer, it actually does look kind of cool, but we'll see what the public and the reviews say.

Have you seen Four Brothers? Very believable in that role, very good IMO.

No, it didn't look very appealing to me. Worth a watch?

Yep. All these movies were Mark as part of an ensemble cast. He just seems to do better in those than in movies where he is the lead and the focus of the movie. Maybe that will be different with Max Payne.

Yeah I'd recommend it. I thought it looked forgettable and actually never even consciously decided not to see it, but it happened to be on TV at my in-laws so we watched it, and it was actually pretty good.

edit: Queasy makes a good point, I"m not 100% sure how well he'll do in a more isolated role like this one. But I think he could pull it off. If if he can, I think he'll be better than just about anyone else who would've done it.

Wait, what? Where did you see that? Are you certain about this? If so I will be very disappointed.

As of April of 2008, no one nows quite yet. In a recent interview, star Mila Kunis confirmed that the movie will likely be rated PG-13.

""The movie is PG-13," says Kunis. "It's incredibly dark. You still get the gist of it. The only different between R-rated and PG-13 is you might not see as much blood."

Mark Wahlberg: "Its PG-13, so you dont get to swear. You dont get to hide behind that."

Bah, so lame!

I'm fine with Walhberg as Max Payne but you can't even get anything from that trailer.
