had that talk with my boss last week. I'm out at the end of June!!!

not an "I am unhappy talk," I was planning to leave regardless. but yeha, my job sucks and I am exceedingly unhappy there....just had a mroe convenient reason to give her.

You should have done this earlier this month. I had some time off where I could have went. Then you can travel in style and not pay for gas! Of course, you would be staying in your own hotel room, so that may end up being more expensive.

Edit-unless the OP is female. Then we can share a room.

btw, I had a friend renting a bedroom in my house about 5 years ago. Moved to Montana a year or two ago and went through that whole "finding himself" phase and quit his job and drove all around the country and stuff like that. I still get collectors calling the house to repossess his car, collect on bills and stuff like that. Blew through his 401k and his fico isn't much higher than 401. I wish you the best of luck but when you're out there just remember at the end of it all you have to at some point return to being a grown up so don't do too much damage...or you could just be a bum the rest of your life like my friend.
