I think the fight scenes in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon are better than those in The Matrix: Reloaded. Also, I went to see Reloaded for guns, I'm tired of martial arts, all it shows is the admiration of asians and their fighting.

Everyone who wants to think about The Matrix and how real it is, check this out. Basically what it all boils down to is, IT'S JUST A MOVIE!!! But, that is a pretty sweet article and ensuing debate. Great for those who aren't stupid, and/or want to learn something. You gotta take a bunch of hours outta your day to look through that and think about it critically. Good luck.

I'm not saying there aren't better movies... The Matrix doesn't compare to some of these... I'm trying to make the point that you can find plot holes and discrepancies in any movie, much less a Sci-Fi movie. What the original poster is saying is the equivilent of me saying that Star Wars is not plausible, because it's so unrealistic, thus a terrible movie.

Exactly. The whole point of the extra bit of code that was "within" Neo was that it had to make it's way back to the beginning and make a choice to start the whole thing over again. The original Matrix was perfect and that was it's flaw - the architect got bored or something. Heh... a bored program. Anyway, the new matrix was built to fail. In order for the nearly-perfect matrix that decays into a pile of crap to be rebuilt, the extra bit of code (or original code?) had to get back to the architect so that he could rebuild it. The architect let the oracle (the second highest "authoritied" program) stay because he knew she would direct Neo back to the architect and it would start all over again.

It's kinda like installing Windows95. After a short while with all the abuse that it goes through, it becomes all f'd up and you need to format and reinstall.
