Matrix Reloaded Question [Spoilers Inside]

Who is the other guy at the very end of the movie opposite of Neo on the table? Right before the 'to be concluded' comes up.

I think it's the guy that cut his hand earlier in the movie, the one that Agent Smith turned into ... Agent Smith.

Anyone know?

Dude - Loony Toons - Remember how Neo had a dream about Smith transforming people w/i the Matrix? That was one of his visions.

Then remember when they were leaving Zion that the guy w/ one of those crazy knives was going to st@b Neo but got stopped by the intrusion of that little guy? That's him - he was obviously the only survivor of the Zion attack. That's him.

He's called "Kid" in the movie, so I assume that he's the subject of the Animatrix short, "Kid's Story."

there were renansance part 1 + 2, detective's story, and the japanese fight scene. so which was kid's story and what was it about?

"Kid's Story" is going to be on the DVD. There are 9 total, and counting the internet ones and "Final Flight," only 5 have been released. 4 more have yet to be seen (except by those who downloaded it already.)

In short, Smith 'infected' the consciousness of the person at the telephone in the beginning. Replaced his consciousness, if you will. So, when whoever he was jacked out, it was the Smith program that took residence in that guy's brain.

Yup, that's the parallel.... we infected the matrix and the programs are infecting the real world. Matrix reloaded brought a lot to be discussed. great film

At the end, do you think that they are truly outside of the system, or are they just in another program (maybe a different level or ring, perhaps).

Some of the computer symbolism is pretty cool. To me, it was pretty obvious that Smith is now a virus.

And on the same note, that's why I think Neo developed more powers at the end, and it wasn't an EMP or something...Agent Smith in the asphalt fight scene talked about how he got destroyed by Neo, but now had part of Neo in his "coding" now, even tho he didn't understand it...likewise, I think Neo has some extra abilities now in the real world...takes something substancial to cause a difference (just like the last movie), and in this one, I think it was the death of Trinity.

so at the very end, zion was already destroyed? i thought it was some kind of counter-attacked that has failed and that zion was still safe?

the movie wasn't very kind when it comes to explaining..

This is kinda OT, but...

The Architect said that The Matrix had been created Six times, and each time Zion was destroyed, only to again come about. So if that is true, would Zion be another Matrix or something?
