What in the heck is this movie going to be about?

Neo's already like god! What else can you do?

You can do something outside of the matrix, but then it wouldn't have all of the cool effects and would just be a regular, and probably cheesy movie. So, what else could you do?
 
I've heard rumors that in M2 we'd get to see the last human city (Zion).. either that or it would turn out that the real world is just another matrix to soothe the dissenters.
 
what are possible plots then? even if they go to Xion, i can't see it being all that cool. the Matrix was good really mainly because of the cool effects

Matrix was written as a trilogy. So they must have a good storyline to be able to make it into 3 movies...

??? They are filming Matrix 2 and 3 back to back. I think they already started too... can't wait to see the city. Wish they hadn't dissed on Jet Li. Would have loved to see him as an agent.

Actually from what I read in a DVDTalk thread Jet Li dissed the Wachowski brothers wanting a reported $13 Million istead of the $3 Million he was offered? In my opinion that was one of the stupidest career moves he could ever make for several reasons:
1) $3 Million for a few months of work, that's a lot of dough.
2) You KNOW that Jet Li would be PERFECT for Matrix 2 and 3.
3) Jet Li really gained exposure and popularity first in Lethal Weapon 4 and even more notariety in his own movie "Romeo Must Die" but come on the chance to be part of one of the biggest/baddest action movies ever? To turn that down? Is that stupid or what?
 
I heard that 2 had something to do with the Matrix clonin Neo and him fightin himself or something. I dunno though, im probably way off.

problem was, i don't think the "story" of the matrix was all that great. sure, it was a cool openning concept and sure, there were cool effects, but there was little development, alot of lame dialogue that seemed to lead nowhere ("She said that I'd fall in love with the one. So you see, you can't be dead, because I love you!" *sob*). without the cool special effects, i think the trilogy will fall flat

RossMAN, Jet Li is making at least $10 million on each of the last few movies he did. I think they wanted to pay him $3 million to film both Matrix 2 and 3 back to back...
 
Not only would the movie be less fun to watch if it was set outside of the matrix, but it would probably also seem alot lamer. Btw, actors make WAY to much money, but oh well, what're ya gonna do?.
 
I'm very confused with Matrix 2...

First off, I heard it was confirmed that Reeves' character would fall in love with Pinkett's character, Niobe. I hate to be a spoiler but I guess that means Trinity is supposed to die? Weren't Neo and Trinity supposed to be together?

EDIT: err, oops..she's Morpheus' lady, my bad!

Also, I don't think Zion will feature in Matrix 2. They will probably leave the battle for Zion for the final installment of the trilogy. However, if they totally jack Lucas' style from the Star Wars trilogy, then the second movie would be 'Matrix 2 - The Agents Strike Back' and I guess that would mean destroying Zion.

More important though, how do you see Neo beginning his work as 'The One?' Like what was up with that phone call in the final scene of 'Matrix'? Who was he talking too--was he leaving voicemail for everyone in the Matrix or was he talking to all the agents? He can't just liberate everyone at once!
 
I always thought he was talking to &quot;The Matrix&quot;. Ah well...I heard from somewhere (read: probably not true) there's going to be someone like Neo fighting against the humans or something? I don't know.
