I also heard a rumor that they were producing an anime style prequel.
Reeves is definately doing 2 & 3. Moss has also sogned for 2, I dont know about 3 and they have been filming in Australia for a while now, but have slowed down due to injuries to both Moss and Reeves.

The brothers offered Jet $3 million for both movies. That was a serious insult to him, since he already makes $10million/ movie. Of course, he walked. Think about it, Jet was highly interested in doing the movie, but to take a insult like that. I would walk to.
 
They offered Jet $3M + percentage, which after figured (if M2 and M3 do as well as the original) would be over $30M (I saw it on E a couple weeks ago). That's $15M /movie... more than he's ever been paid before. Now granted, if the sequels flop, he's not going to make nearly that much... but I seriously doubt they will.
 
EVEN IF THEY FLOP, they woud be huge releases, like MI2, and i think jet just slowed his career down big time to what it COULD have been.
 
There is a lot of open room for the plots with Matrix 2 and 3. Neo beat some agents in a fight, but now what? What if these agents keep coming back? If so, did Neo really achieve any real victory? How can he and the others get the world back to normal? What about Zion?
The plots could be very interesting, but we will have to wait and see.
 
the problem IMO is they paid that idiot Keannu (or whatever) $30million. Apparently Matrix was designed from day one to be a trilogy. However, I doubt the second two can live up to the first one b/c at least for me the coolest part was finding out what the Matrix was. I was totally unintersted in Neo himself. How can the keep the suspense level high? These are good writer so they could think up something.
 
I think the whole trilogy would be far cooler (not that I know where it will go anyway) if it started with the story of Morpheus. Matrix 2 would continue with Trinity and the rest of 'the gang'. Matrix 3 would be the same movie as the original Matrix. The final scene in the Matrix (Matrix 3) would be SOOOO much cooler if that were the case.
 
Maybe the Agents will become quicker due to better programming, upgrades and overclocking! 🙂

Fight scenes won't be that interesting if Neo can continue to slow down the action like he was able to do at the end of the Matrix.

 
3Mil for the next 2 movies is an insult.
3Mil + Percentage for the next 2 movies...Now I'm thinkin he was STUPID for passing it up.
 
Jet li is bad ass. i've seen some of his past movies had subtitles and all 😛 , had some excellent fighting scenes.

Keanu reeves is such a bad actor! Why would ANYONE cast him for ANYTHING

My sentiments exactly, they're gonna go and ruin a good plot again with a subpar lead. Keanu needs to stick to movies with horrible plots like &quot;point break&quot; so that I don't have to see him.
 
You know which pretty boy actor I actually respect? Brad Pitt. Ever since I saw Fight Club, Meet Joe Black, and Seven, I've been impressed with him.

If edward norton can be neo that'll be mUCH MUCH BETTER! NOW HE CAN ACT! compared to keanu he is like Ak and keanu is like a glock(with no ammo).

Well,,, i sure hope it doesnt become a crap fest like MI2, that was POS.

I have faith that it will r0x0r no matter what it is... there are so many cool plots they could use there is no way to know what it will be until we see it 😀.

Wow... imagine Brad Pitt AND Edward Norton in these flicks??? They would rock!!! I mean, Edward Norton couldn't really pull it off as an agent, but he's an awesome actor. Neither can Pitt, but damn...
