Math Problem: You have 2 pipes...

ndee

Lifer
Pipe A: 3.9meter
Pipe B: 5.9meter

How many of each do you need to make a 212meter long pipe? You cannot cut them, meaning you can only use whole pipes. I have the answers(12 A-Pipes, 28 B-Pipes) but I don't understand the way. Can maybe someone explain it step by step?

Would be great, thanks in advance!

My god. What are you in, elementary school?

3.9A + 5.9B = 212

Solve for A and B.

there's more to it than that, and if you weren't so concerned w/putting someone down maybe you'd see that. A and B are integers so your wonderful equation doesn't answer the question.

Need 2 equations since there are two variables.

OK, what's the 2nd equation smarties!

Were either of you two dumbfvcks paying any attention in high school? Jesus!

Paging Kelvrick to add a few more dumbasses to his list!

OK, do it. I have problem with this Calculus stuff but I'm sure YOU know how to do it.
This isn't calculus. This is like 5th Grade workbook stuff.

Ahm... that's what I first thought too. And if you have it, you need a Mathematical PROOF.

Yossarian is right. It seems easy if you look at it first.

Must resist urge to prove that ndee is a fool beyond belief who cannot complete his 8th grade math assignment. Kelvrick, you are our only hope.

You should have known better than to post a question like this on ATOT. Most of the users are too busy being assholes than to actually help you with your problem. It's to be expected.

Fvckin' solve it already! It's not the simple 2 variable equation thing!

True, true. But I do know that here are some Math Whiz' so I'm hoping for them 🙂

I think I saw MrCodeDude solve some math stuff but I'm really wondering about M4H and bridgen.
