Basic algebra graphing stuff.

A linear equation in two variables is an equation that can be put in the form ax + by = c.

Where a, b, and c are real numbers.

y = 5x + 3 = when you convert it, -5x + y = 3 <------- HOW DID THE BOOK GET FROM Y = 5X + 3 TO -5X + Y =3.

This is working with the ax + by = c equation.
 
well they just put it back into the Ax+By= C

C being the constant ( y intercept )
A being the Slope
don't remember what the B value is

I didn't know you could do that in order to make it like that. I thought it was some complicated process. If I knew you could do that like a regular algebra problem I would've done it, duh!

y" - y' -2y = -8cost -2sint
y(pi/2)=1
y'(pi/2)=0

I know you need w(t)=y(t+pi/2)
but then what is the transform of

-8cos(t+pi/2) - 2sin(t+pi/2) ?
