Masters? I can't really say, but for all other PGA events they walk. It was a big deal a while back when one player with some sort of physically debilitating disease petitioned to use a cart because he physically couldn't handle walking the distance. There was a huge stink over it because some people claimed that being able to walk the whole 18 holes was part of the requirements to be able to compete in the event.

I don't remember the outcome, but I think they allowed him after much public outcry.

You're thinking of Casey Martin. He has a degenerative circulatory disease (Klippel-Trenaunay-Webber Syndrome) that makes even walking painful and difficult and will eventually require the amputation of the affected leg.

Don't they have a limit on the number of people that can get into that each day so as to keep the crowds on the course down? Thought I heard that, but couldn't remember.

My uncle is the marketing VP for one of the big textiles companies in South Carolina and part of his duties is that he gets to wine and dine clients there every year. He keeps promising me I'm going to get to come out there one year - I've got to start pressing him more on that. Just being able to be out there would be awesome, much less getting access to the tents where it's all the free food and alcohol you want.

Yowza! I DEFINITELY need to hit him up for that next year. I've heard the hospitality tents at the major PGA tour events are quite lavish with uber fancy food and full service bars. We have a fairly big annual Senior PGA tour event here in Birmingham which I get hospitality tent passes to every year through my dad's company. It's quite nice and I've gotten spoiled to having access to the hospitality areas. But while they're very nice I'm sure they're nowhere near on par with what you'd find at the Masters.
