Those guys love golf and come down every year.
They will be out in the town at the local bars, and people will try to get Randy to say ," ...the $hitters full."
I hate golf.
but, the whole l event is fun as hell.
I can't explain it, but look on Ebay tickets are going for over $2,000.
it is a fun week to be there.

The special section in SI made it sound like a lot of fun, even for a non-golf fan. I mean, come on, you've got lots of alcohol, hookers, golf, the KKK, Jesse Jackson, and a bunch of feminazis all in one small town for one weekend. It's like a ticking time bomb, just waiting to go off.

Didn't see an ***OFFICIAL*** Masters thread, but this one will do...

36 holes today. There should be some ridiculously high scores posted in the second round as people get tired.

Currently Tiger Woods is +3 and seven strokes back. Damn work, I am so tempted to leave so I can start watching the TV coverage that starts at 2 PM ET.

No commercial interruptions this year either. Its going to awesome.

It's too funny htat the protestors will be soooo far from the entrance that no one will really see them. Guess they will e reduced to shouting at passing cars with bullhorns.

From what I've read in the local papers, the whole protest thing has been largely a non-event (which is good). Raising hell so that one or two women can be admitted to a club that 99.999999999% of MEN don't even have a chance in hell of being admitted to does exactly..

..for women's issues. For every one woman who might get admitted to Augusta National, there are 300,000 whose husbands beat the snot out of them a few times per week or won't pay child support or whatever.

Tired? How tiring can golf be?!
It's mentally exhausting since you have to be 100% focused all the time to play well. 100% mental focus for 5 hours (or 10+ as in today's double round) will wear your ass out, believe me. Even 36 casual holes is a long damn day....much less 36 in arguably the most prestigious tournament in the world in crappy conditions.

Yup. Playing even 18 hours holes in a tournament is exhausting. I had to pull some 36 hole tournaments in HS. It is hell.

It is at LEAST 5 hours for the round (dont be surprised if its over 6), plus warming up, hitting balls, stretching, the time starts to add up

You go walk 36 holes on the courses these guys play! The average hole these guys play is probably 450 yards. 450 * 36 = 16200 yards. 16200 yards = Just short of 9 and a half miles. And those aren't flat miles.

and that doesn't even count the spaces between holes.

The whole issue is lame. It's a pissing match for it's own sake. There are a lot of valid issues women face that need addressing, but membership to the club that told even Bill Gates to go f*ck himself when he inquired about becoming a member ain't one of them.

I think they did finally extend an invitation last year. Key word being "extend". When he asked to become a member a few years ago, they said no.....which I though was pretty cool.

I'd love to see you break 90 on your second 18-hole round on a rain-sodden Augusta golf course.
You probably couldn't even walk that far without taking a break.

Don't they ride in golf carts? And don't they have a caddy that carries everything for you?
