Mass shooting in Toronto.

Just breaking. Suspect is dead. At least 8 others shot over multiple blocks in the Greektown district on Danforth.

Only death I’m seeing reported at this point is the shooter.

If only Canada had MORE guns the perhaps a good guy with a gun could have been there to stop this terrible tragedy that only occurs in gun control societies where the bad guys ignore the laws. Just ask the USA how well that works.

If Canada was ruled by trump he would be declaring this as another example of violence from a US terrorist immigrant and use it to justify building a wall on their southern border.

How many deaths in Canada by a mass shooter since the beginning of the year compared to the US? Especially shootings in high schools?

I know it's important that we point out mass shootings happen in countries that have strict gun controls but in countries like australia people still have access to guns. So mass shootings do occur. I think the last one we had was 4 killed.

The reality of it is though. That these shootings happen nowhere near as frequently as the US or have anywhere near as high body counts. That's because people cannot buy AR-15's or any other high powered semi automatic assault rifle.

This curtails the body count significantly.

We had the port arthur massacre. Where Martin Bryant shot 35 people dead with an Ar-15 that was in 1996. The worst random massacre we have had since then was sorry, I said four it was 2 dead. There have been targeted massacres worse than that which involved involved bludgeoning. So it should give you a good idea as to what strict gun laws bring. In terms of law and order.

Not to mention safety of citizens.

Awful. We have fairly strict gun control here in that you need two licenses to be able to acquire a handgun. It involves background checks and interviews with references, and a wait time of several months AFAIK. Once complete, you can buy rifles, shotguns and handguns AFAIK. You cannot legally own semi-auto, auto or military grade weapons AFAIK.

Plenty of Canadians own firearms, hunting is really popular here in rural areas and we have a lot of farmers who use rifles to deal with animals preying on their livestock.

The video fairly clearly shows a Caucasian guy in all black with a hat, looks like a beret or fedora?. My guess would be possibly another incel-type like the individual who drove a van into people earlier this year. If so, this is fairly concerning. There seems to be a a new breed of radicalized insecure young males who are feeling marginalized/inadequate, with the most fringe of this group turning to violence.

We'll probably learn more once they get into his social media.

Who do you have to blame for this? NRA? Gun manufacturers? Crazy dude from Florida? If only Canada had sensible gun control laws, this would have never happened. Libtard morons bringing Trump into events that occurred in other countries.

We aren't blaming everyone but ourselves for our big city problem, yes bring Trump in is stupid. Just to point out that most of our black market guns are from US, we need to do a better job to control the gangs.

Sensible gun control laws are why this is a genuine shock in Canada where it'd be a momentary blip in the US.

Hey shit for brains: Canada has strict gun laws and people still shoot each other all the time. Obviously that doesnt work.

Also, dont be a fuckin asshole.

Wow, straight to the personal attacks and name calling. Triggered much? Mmmm, those sweet conservative, gun-loving tears.

Am I doing it right?

You are trying to compare this rare incident with the every day experience in the United States? Seriously, how did you get and stay so stupid? Teachers refused to teach you? Your parents assumed you were a lost cause (possibly the golden child) and kept an education far far away from you? Learning feels like it's burning your brain so you said Fu*k it (<--- it's supposed feel good). You should feel embarrassed and ashamed of this comparison you are trying and failing miserably to make if not because it's stupid than because you are so stupid.

Holy Fu*k why must the world endure the depth of your intentional idiocy? STFU.

Meaning revolvers and bolt actions only?
