mariner--Geez....up late last night, eh? Had a nice nap yesterday while I was working?
Well.....since you seem to be the mp3 expert.....um.....at least my expert, anyway.......riddle me this:
I know with T&R, you can do reverse lookup.....which is what caught my eye about it.
so, if I rip songs from an LP to my hard drive:
1. Can I use a feature to name the files.....lookup the cd in cddb, then name them? I think so.
2. Course, since it is an LP, not a cd, chances are the correct names will be there, but a good possiblity that they will be in the wrong order, and there may be more or less songs than what cddb reports (since it is derived from the cd, not the LP).
3. In this case, does one of the programs allow you to sort of drag and drop the tag info, onto the specific files you choose? Kinda like an explorer interface?
4. Have you used EAC/LAME/and a naming program, to burn a backup of the cd OTF, while simultaneously ripping/encoding/naming mp3s from that cd to the hard drive?
5. Of course, my goal would be to store my original, purchased cds in my father's fireproof safe, and store my backup cds in my closet, playing only from mp3s on my audio system.
