Well... now that they killed off Iron Man, I guess that they're all due for a reboot anyway.

(I didn't actually see the new movie, I'm just guessing that they killed off Iron Man. RDJ has to be sick of playing that character)

We'll have to see where they go from here with the next Big baddie who will get several post credit Scenes build up.

A common guess I have seen was Galactus.

Well, at least they can't do a worse job than Fox did with Galactus!

In regard to the acquisition of Fox, I do see Fantastic Four being far more likely to see a faster introduction into the MCU than X-Men. The Fantastic Four have only had three movies so far, and the last one was so maligned that I think most would welcome a better showing. On the flip side, X-Men has had some more popular movies in the recent years, but it's arguable that they've been getting a bit worse as time goes on. X-Men also has two movies coming out this year (Dark Phoenix and New Mutants). Also, introducing mutants brings up interesting questions about characters like Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver (RIP) given that they're mutants and Magneto's children in the comics, but are just "special" in the MCU (experimented on with the Mind Stone).

I think it also helps that Fantastic Four only has four main characters to worry about. On the other side, X-Men has a rather large cast, but that could also be an interesting advantage. For example, there has been a decent amount of fan demand for a good Gambit movie, and given that he was only featured in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, doing something like a solo Gambit film that starts to introduce mutants into the MCU might not be a bad idea. Gambit was actually supposed to come out in 2020, but given all the delays it has seen, that was still a bit tenuous at best. Apparently, Marvel is looking into the movie, which might be a good sign.

Outside of existing characters, some of the rumored fresh faces with be Shang-chi and The Eternals.

Nah, they'll ride the current wave until it starts to falter. Guardians 3 on the way in a couple of years (which will likely be the biggest yet since it also includes Thor) will keep it going for at least a bit longer (it'll basically replace the Avengers for the big teamup movie). They can fairly easily pair Captain Marvel in that too. Heck, if they want to give it another boost, they can kinda run with what Fox was doing with X-Men, as if I remember right, the Dark Phoenix Saga involves some universal strife.

They have several smaller movies queued up too. They've said they want to do a Black Widow (think the favorite is for it to basically be an origin or at least where it'd build out her past) movie. I'm sure they'd like to find a way to make Hulk work (they kinda did by shoehorning Planet Hulk into the Infinity Saga with Thor Ragnarok). I'd say that if they want to do a new Wolverine maybe do his comic origin (where he faced off against the Hulk), where you've got two strong characters and you wouldn't need a normal origin story for either. There was an animated movie (Hulk Vs, had two parts, one was Hulk vs Wolverine and the other was Hulk vs Thor) that had Deadpool (and some others, but Deadpool being a huge success would be a factor) in it and could make for an easy to translate story that would let you do justice of Hulk and Wolverine with Deadpool for comedic affect (where they could really make the other two more mean and vicious than they've been in any movie and so we'd get a new side of them, with Deadpool cracking wise).

They have a lot of smaller esoteric movies that they could do before any serious reboots. Squirrel Girl for instance.

The biggest problem with the X-Men, in my opinion, is the timeline. Magneto's WWII backstory is *so* central to the character. I'm not sure I see a truly good way to bring him into the present.

me too. half my family, actually.

what's your point?

My point is while my sympathies are with the people who loved a particular person. It doesn't change that they were a crap person sometimes... even though I understand why. that's my point and I can't care less how anyone else takes that.

Next up Magnetico....a Honduran child discovers super powers after being separated from his parents at the US border.

The $100 million he stands to make probably helps a lot.

OP was right. At least half of all life in the MCU died.
