I would suggest you look up Martial law, then look up Police state, dictatorship, authoritarianism, and Fascism. (dictatorship and Authoritarianism are closely related but they are different, as all of them in the list are different). Then step back and think about which one we are actually on the edge of. (hint: it's not Martial law - we are not on the edge of anything temporary if Trump stays in power).
