Big surprise, it turns out that it was all made up:

Margaret Thatcher did not ‘snub’ Sarah Palin: The truth about the Iron Lady and the former Governor of Alaska

And just in case anyone questions this, it was posted by Nile Gardiner, who is much closer to Mrs. Thatcher than some anonymous "ally":

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nile_Gardiner

:D I wonder if that anonymous "ally" was a forty year old American male leftist pretending to be a British Tory lesbian . . .

a telegraph poster said:
The bare facts, with spin stripped away:

1. Palin has said she wants to meet Thatcher.
2. Palin will not be meeting Thatcher.

Sums it up.

Sums it up.

No, that doesn't sum anything up. That just takes away the context. The whole thread is about some lame bogus assertion that the Iron Lady snubbed Palin because "she's nuts". That is complete bull and OP has once again been exposed as a complete moron.

Following an article in a British publication on Sunday, I've received questions about a possible trip to the United Kingdom. I have received an invitation for a visit to London, and part of that invitation included the offer of arranging a meeting between myself and one of my political heroines, the "Iron Lady," Margaret Thatcher. I would love to meet her and hope I'll be able to arrange the trip in the future.
As I wrote last year when I offered her birthday wishes, Baroness Thatcher's life and career serve as a blueprint for overcoming the odds and challenging the "status quo." ... I cherish her example and will always count her as one of my role models. Her friendship with my other political hero, Ronald Reagan, exemplified the Special Relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom.

When time is critical, and impartial Sarah Palin analysis is required, turn to HuffPost.

There was never any snub of Sarah Palin by Lady Thatcher’s office. However, there has been a great deal of mischief-making and unpleasantness from sections of the liberal press in a vain and futile attempt to use Margaret Thatcher’s name to smear a major US politician.

Say it ain't so, Nile.

BTW - Did the title say MT said? There is way more of an argument of a dishonest thread title "Obama doesn't care about the economy" since that is not what he actually said. So are we striving for partisan or accuracy???

Apparently, you're striving for "partisan"[sic]. And "ban".
