One of the all time conservative icons realizes how much of a media whore this chick is. Love how much right wing talkers and Fox News trys to build her up as a serious candidate. The most scary thing is not her but all those people who fall for it.

Kudos Maggie!

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/jun/09/margaret-thatcher-sarah-palin-meeting

One Thatcher ally told the Guardian: "Lady Thatcher will not be seeing Sarah Palin. That would be belittling for Margaret. Sarah Palin is nuts."

This is par for the course for this chick. Like the times she tried to get into Jeruselum and speak at the recent biker rally. She thinks she can just show up unannounced and take over.

BTW - Did the title say MT said? There is way more of an argument of a dishonest thread title "Obama doesn't care about the economy" since that is not what he actually said. So are we striving for partisan or accuracy???

Good thing the majority of the GOP is very much against her as a candidate.

But, the person who made the claim that she will not meet with her is vary vague about how she is affiliated with Thatcher, an "ally?"

Good for Margaret Thatcher. I agree with her. The media is being pathetic by giving Sarah Palin as much time as they do. Does she really have as much support as the media portrays? The only ones that seem to want her in the spotlight are the Dems. GOP just wishes she would go away.

Lady Thatcher did not say that. An aide to the Lady did. Just to get facts straight for the record.

At 85 years old I would not suffer fools either, and wouldn't give a damn what anyone thinks of it.

Thatcher is a private citizen for decades now.

BTW anyone know why Palin is wearing a Star of David in the photo in that Guardian article? Is that trendy among far right Christians now?

Thought the progressive crowd didn't like her which makes this banner waving rather interesting.

And people accuse me of being dishonest.

Perhaps the OP should fix the thread title to reflect reality.

'Nowadays, the Lady rarely meets people at all,' the aide said. 'If a meeting went ahead, it would be very much low-key, and would very much depend on how things were on the day. We don't make firm appointments for this sort of meeting.'"
Thacher doesn't meet with anyone these days.

Even 5 years ago she was in bad health and I would guess that she is in worse shape today.

So an unnamed "ally" of an 85-year old former leader says something. Who cares? Must be a slow day at the DailyKos talking point dissemination desk.

I think it is the MSM that builds her up as a serious 2012 candidate. I could not imagine the GOP would want here near any ticket.

Thread title should be changed. The OP is as dishonest as Fox, ironic considering his obsession with Fox.

Shush, don't tell the dimlibs that, let them keep foaming at the mouth and focus on her.

Yes, as I recall it was stated that she wore the star of David in recognition of some Jewish Holiday or another, or maybe some recognition or remember day. Other than that, I can't remember which specific thing her wearing the star of David was supposed to represent. But it was in the press release.

But like all politicians, Sarah is just a trying to sell herself to any voting blocks she can. So I can't especially fault Sarah for being a politician.

Title is completly honest

If MT was too old or sick I'm sure her people would have said so. They are smart enough to realize when someone is trying to use them

title implied that Thacher thinks that Palin is "nuts," when in fact, MT probably doesn't even know who Sarah Palin is.

Margaret Thatcher is in her 80's and began struggling with dementia sever years ago - a reason she does not do public appearances and hold meetings with people. I am sure MT would be an admirer of Palin even if she didn't back her candidacy. When a woman has the New York Times and Washington Post recruiting volunteers to sort through thousands of old emails hoping to find some kind of "gotcha" out of hatred and fear then Thatcher would easily note the villains and the persecuted. The media obviously took someone else's words to be Thatcher's

not to defend Palin or anything, but the "your nuts" seemed in reference to scheduling a meeting that far in advance, not necessarily with regards to meeting with Palin at all.

like all old people struggling with their physical and mental health, I'm sure she has her good days and bad days. if they schedule a meeting with Palin and her team has to cancel at the last minute, all of a sudden her deteriorating health is front page news.

Funny, but I don't give a damn what anyone thinks of me, and I especially don't care what other countries or the rest of the world think of the USA either.

Now I'm not a fan of Palin at all, nor would I ever vote for her if it came to Palin vs Obama (probably wouldn't vote in that case at all frankly). But I'll be damned if I care what some of these rat sh*t Eurotrash countries think of the U.S. or our policies. MYOFB!
