March 2 Apple Event Thread

65,000 iPad apps, compared to 100 apps for Honeycomb. That is exactly why I'm buying an iPad.

I agree that Honeycomb has a better UI, it really does. But how do you compete with that? Maybe down the road

It'll come... Remember, at one point the iPad had 100 apps too.

From Engadget:
"10:10AM Ouch -- Honeycomb logo... 100 apps."

What the hell is that supposed to mean? Only 100 apps for honeycomb specifically? No s**t. How many apps have been build from the ground up for the IPAD2?

What exactly are they trying to imply?

Hmmm, with 1080p HDMI out, it would be nice if they updated the AppleTV to have dual core A5 and we can get 1080p out in that too.

The iPad 2 is 33 percent thinner than its predecessor, at a mind-melting 8.8mm, and will ship in two variants: white and black. It'll be available on both AT&T and Verizon. All variants start shipping on March 11.

Edit: Except for Canada - Mar. 25 WTF?

android is behind the curve, plain and simple.

ipad created the market and still leads the pack by a wide margin.

if google had foresight, they would've released a tablet instead of working on chrome os for netbooks.......which is a dying preposition.

3g hotspot sharing over wifi for iphone4 customers. Sweet. I'm happy about that.

I'd love a rotation lock for my iphone4 as well.

The airtunes thing I already have via plex media server...

I really want one now! 🙂
I was expecting a slight upgrade, just to cover the missing parts. This is a complete over haul!
